Chapter Two

CHAPTER TWO

Vesper

I was dreading consciousness even as I came to that kind of feeling that seats in your stomach like I ate something wrong.

The ceiling of my dormitory pristine white aggressively, the kind of white that if stared at for a long time one starts to think they are in a mental facility not a school at all . It gives off the vibe of control to stop me or any one from having any independent thoughts.

I lie down for a while listening to the sounds of footsteps, probably students or prisoners like me as I think to myself as I hear the sounds of door closing and girls talking to themselves. One is speaking of the marriage but they got too far away for me to hear.

I got up, had my bath and dressed in the school uniform although my thoughts on the school haven't changed but their uniform style is top.

The blood red blazer tailored to hug my figure and the bright gold buttons making gleams in the light within a crisp white to go with it and my skirt which almost feels like it was pleated by a robot not a person as they fall perfectly and sways around my leg as I move in my dormitory adding my stockings to the mix as I take one more glance into the I knew I was battle ready.

As I stepped out of the room I thought about my dogs and wonder if they are safe or well fed and I felt hollow from within but pushed it to the back of my mind as it was a dark closet I didn't want open

Omega international high school smelled like obedience but it didn't show as if they were putting on a facade but I won't fall for it. The students in the school hallways were like students in normal school but they were slightly different here I could see cliques the nerdy ,queen bees and popular guys e.t.c

As I stepped into the hallway they all just turned to stare not she is pretty stare but the look a new prey is here stare but I didn't let that stop me. As I wonder which way leads to the orientation hall . I asked for directions from a girl with beautiful braids and friendly eyes I thought wouldn't play a prank on me probably I guess

“ Hi ”. I said

“ Hi ”. she greeted back

Please which way to the orientation hall I asked

She just looked at me and said go straight down the hallway and turn to your left the first door there is the orientation hall

Thanking her I made my way down the hall unbeknownst to me what lies ahead

Following her directions I made it to the end of the hall I turned to the left and I saw the first and entered boy was I wrong

It was a room that belonged to someone and I could hear the person in the shower .

I didn't turn to look back and just bolted out of the room with only one thought in my mind I have been played

I soon found the orientation hall turns out it was to the turning at the top right not left. I could hear the voice of a man talking as he told both omegas, beta's and alpha's about the societal hierarchy of the school though so I don't think the public knows about Alpha's and Beta's being in the school institution with omegas .

I quietly stepped into the orientation hall as the man droned on , on how we the omegas should be grateful about receiving education cause I didn't want to be reprimanded on the first day of school yet.

As I looked around the orientation hall I saw people yawning at what he was saying but then I caught a glance of a male student sitting there and looking like the interior design were just background characters to him and royalty.

I glanced away.

The orientation speaker was talking about the values of the school . Harmony , Discipline,Deference and Obedience. The four pillars of societal excellence and I was annoyed as I heard the words but not only that he mispronounced the name of Sarah wyatt

And I didn't stay silent and called him out for it

“ Her name is Sarah Wyatt, “ I said . My voice booming out

Everyone gasped out

As they heard me.

He looked at me and said “ an Omega is not to speak unless spoken to.”

“ And I don't follow such rules.” I replied.

I heard someone whimper beside me. It was the girl that pranked me looking at me like I was stupid or very brave.

He scowled at me and said “ my office now.”

I expected to be punished but I won't be broken or go down without a fight I thought to myself.

As I took one last look into the hall only to clash eyes with the boy from before for a while before breaking eye contact

I arranged and made the orientation speaker to mispronounce Sarah Wyatt's name to get a reaction from her .

Her reaction was everything and more I wanted and she didn't disappoint. Others would have just kept quiet and say nothing and go with the flow but not her at all

She wouldn't bend and I knew that .

I could hear her voice loud and clear

“ Sarah Wyatt,” she said. And they gasped but not me I smiled

As he scowled at her and said “ my office now,” I thought of what part I should take from him to reward her

As she was leaving I turned around. That's when we made contact I felt every part of me come alive for that brief moment before losing eye contact.

At the entrance of hall as I stepped out there was my brother Joshua staring at her like an interesting puzzle piece he wanted to add to the battle for the throne between us

And I knew why

This was because she stood her ground and spoke out something no Omega has ever done not even our mother

And he wouldn't like that go by him cause

She broke the rule and he was angered by that

But he didn't see what I saw

My little butterfly has finally spread her wings.
