I slowly open my eyes. I think I'm in heaven! Never have I ever slept so comfortably. I look at Andrew; he is still sleeping, engulfed by the soft duvet. I climb out of bed and take care of my business in the bathroom, then I quickly get dressed before I check on the Andersons. They are all sleeping soundly. I guess they aren't early birds like me. It is already after seven o'clock, over an hour later than I usually sleep. I skip downstairs; guess I'll make them breakfast before I wake them up.
I search all the cupboards before I start; it is better to know where everything is before you start cooking. I decided to make bacon and eggs; along with a fruit salad and yogurt. I brew the coffee and set the table before I start cooking. I cut all the fruit and place it on a large serving plate. I pour the yogurt into the glass bowl I found in one of the cupboards. I quickly fry the bacon; just as I finish the bacon, Mrs. Anderson walks into the kitchen, still in her pajamas.
“Oh! You're up,” she exclaims, shocked that I'm up already, “Hello Delia. How'd you sleep?” she asks as she takes a seat at the kitchen counter.
“Morning Mrs. Anderson! I slept very well; thank you. The bed is extremely comfortable,” I say as I pour her a cup of coffee, “Milk and sugar?”
“Milk; no sugar. And I told you to call me Michelle,” she smiles warmly.
“Sorry, Michelle…” I smile and hand her the coffee, “Breakfast is ready; so I'll go get the others.” She nods, and I quickly make my way upstairs.
I wake the girls first; Meredith and Sophie woke up without a problem, but Jessica is a whole different story.
“No. Leave me alone! It's too early to get up!” Jessica says and buries her head in her pillow.
“Oh come on Jessica! It's already almost nine o'clock! Get up, breakfast is ready!”
After a while, she finally gives in and gets out of bed. I'll wake Andrew next and then I'll handle Blake.
I remember George hated mornings. I don't know if it is a male thing or just George, but he got really angry if you woke him up in the mornings. He was always late to pick me up for school and he broke his alarm a few times. So, I guess I'm sort of scared of how Blake might react.
I knock on his door before I enter his room. To my surprise, he is already up. He looks up at me through his glasses, clearly irritated that I disturbed his reading.
“Breakfast is ready,” I say, quickly averting my eyes to the floor. How is it possible for one person to look so attractive after they just woke up? Why does bed hair look good on him, but it gives me a monkey look? The glasses also fits him perfectly, as it gives him a calm educated look.
“Thanks; I'll be down in a minute,” he says smirking and I leave his room with a slight blush. He so knows that I find him attractive… To top it all off, I probably looked completely shocked. Mainly because I was. I'm not used to guys waking up by themselves, never mind reading.
I go back downstairs and make the eggs. Ten minutes later everybody, most still in their pajamas, is seated at the dining table; staring at me with wide eyes.
“What?” I ask. Why is everybody staring at me like I'm an alien?
“You're the first nanny to actually wake up before us and make us breakfast on a Sunday,” Jessica says, “Never mind a proper breakfast! The only thing we ever got was cereal. Are you like crazy or something? Why would you get up so early?”
“It's not early Jessica! And I actually enjoy spending time in a kitchen,” I say. Nobody makes another comment after that, and we all enjoyed breakfast in silence.
After breakfast, Michelle gives me a printed list of rules, activities, and allergies. We also discuss some further details about Sophie's birthday. She also hands me an iPhone 6, which I refuse but she insists. The same thing happens with the credit card and car keys, she provides for the use of the girls. She feels that I should be able to drive the girls myself and not rely on Blake, which I understand. I mean what is the use in hiring somebody to take care of the girls, if said person is still reliant on Blake for transportation. What I don't understand is why I would require a credit card and a new cellphone, but in the end, Mrs. Anderson still made me take them. After discussing some more things with her, I go to my room to read the printed list.

Michelle Anderson
It is clear from this letter that Michelle is a really organized person. She knows exactly what she wants. The house rules aren't extreme, but they should keep everyone out of trouble.
Michelle mentioned horses; I should remember to ask her about that. I just hope they have enough horses for me and Andrew to ride as well. I've missed riding so much!
I think I'm going to enjoy this job! The girls are amazing and Michelle is a very down to earth person. It is rare to find people as nice and caring as the Andersons…
