Hannah's POV
I spent the whole night tossing and turning on the bed. It was almost morning when I finally slept. As I woke up, Jackson's side was empty. Dashing out of the room, I searched for him in every corner of house but he was nowhere.
As I entered the living room, I found Emily talking to Jake.
"What will you do next?", Jake asked.
"I don't know. Probably go back to Manhattan and run my cafe.", She replied unfocused.
"Why can't you go out with me?", He asked desperately.
"Jake I have told you my reasons. I have nothing to offer. My life is full of failures, a broken marriage, a lost child, a damaged heart. Not to mention, I am older than you. You deserve a young, fresh, beautiful and happy girl for you.", She replied sorrowfully.
