At last, the day of Veandra's betrothal to the ruler of the Western Kingdom, to Axton, has come. She traveled hundreds of miles on the same road and was escorted by her army of mounted knights. The travel is easier since it is mid-spring so the road is not that muddy although it rained occasionally but not too much. It took them two weeks to arrive—two times faster than she and Peter traveled before. Her company is met with a gorgeous welcome from the people.
