Veandra realized that she was staring at Peter as she listened. He stared back at her too. Then she looked away and back to looking at the pond.
She scoffed at what Eiserdour said. “If love transcends worlds, I wouldn't be who I am. I became strong without it and I realized I became weaker because I fell for him. Now that's all over, I'm back to who I was. I will not make that same mistake again.”
Eiserdour sighed and shakes his head after all what he said did not help her the way he wanted. “Well, if that's what you want, my darling. I trust you to choose what you certainly wanted and needed if the time comes when it counts.” He jumped off the handrail and walked away at a steady pace to somewhere in the shrubs of the garden.
