CHAPTER 6

The next day, after finishing breakfast Jenny went to talk to her grandmother.

Although her grandmother lived in a small house in the backyard, the house was quite big and elegantly decorated. Jenny's room was next to hers.

During their conversation, Jenny noticed that the old lady was coughing repeatedly.

Worried about her health. Jenny asked, "Grandma where do you uncomfortable?"

After taking her medicine, the old lady smiled and said "I'm getting old, and there are some illness that one have to suffer. I probably won't live longer. I don't know if I will be able to see the day you will get married".

The old lady then brought up the arranged marriage between Jenny and Williams Young Master.

"Your mother passed away early, but she has made arrangements for you. She arranged that you marry the Williams youngest son. The youngest son of the William's is kind and gentle, you will like him the moment you see him".

Sighing, the old lady continued "I don't know if the William's will accept this marriage".

Thinking of Francis, Jenny couldn't help but grit her teeth in anger.

In her past life, she had been too innocent and had been decieved by Francis facade. She had helped in treating his leg injury and used her medical skills to help him network, but she had been completely unaware that she was used as a tool to rise to power.

"Good girl, don't over think it" the old lady said looking at Jenny with a worried face. She thought Jenny was worried, that the William won't accept the marriage, so she tired comforting her "Even if I have to bring down heaven, I will make sure you are married into the Williams family".

Jenny didn't want to marry into the Williams Family. But hearing the old lady words, her eyes couldn't help but to well up.

She was the kind who would do anything for anyone who treated her better. Since her grandmother was willing to protect her. She was the only relative she have.

She couldn't just let her grandmother die like that.

If she could remember in her previous life, the old lady died three months after she returned to Dreamland.

At that time she felt that something was wrong, but because she trusted her step mother too much she didn't suspect anything.

But now, her instinct tells her that the old lady's sudden death was related to Gina.

With this in mind, Jenny suddenly clapped her hands and said playfully, "Grandma let's not talk about that for now, when I was in the Hither side I learned some medical skills from a very powerful Korean doctor. If you don't mind can I check your pulse for you?".

Old Mrs Owen and her personal servant Aunt Emily smiled at each other when they heared this.

"Okay, then you can take my pulse and see how many years I have left". The old lady said.

Jenny took a deep breath and and accurately found the pulse on her radical artery, closing her eyes to quickly diagnose it.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes and her heart skipped a beat.

The old lady wasn't sick, she was poisoned.

Her father was selfish and self-centered but he was good with the old lady and couldn't have done such a thing. That left Gina as the prime suspect.

"What wrong?" the old lady at Jenny expression and coughed thrice before asking "Did you find anything?".

Jenny quickly smiled and scratched her head saying, "I'm inexperienced and can't see anything, but I can feel your pulse is strong. I can tell you live for another sixty years".

At this point, she can't just reveal this information, else she will lose the little trust the old lady have for me. Making Gina to have an upper hand.

Beside, the family doctor might in cohort with Gina, if not the truth about the old lady being poisoned should not have been a secret.

She needs to carefully consider on how to treat the old lady.

The old lady laughed at her joke.

"Won't I become an old witch if I leave another sixty years?" the old lady said this but she was released happy.

Even though the elderly often talk about being halfway into the grave, they are till afraid of arrival death in her heart.

Jenny was giggling foolishly besides her an innocent cat.

Soon, the sun set in the east, and Mr Benjamin Owens who was away on a business trip didn't come back before dinner time and Jenny didn't see her Dad.

The old lady was the last to take her seat at dinning.

When she came over, she had an invitation card in her hand.

Gina saw the Williams Family seal on the invitation card at a glance, and her eye narrowed slightly.

But Gina quickly concealed her expression and pretended to be puzzled as she asked, "Mom, what's this?"

The old lady placed the invitation card on the table and said in a serious yet calm tone "This is an invitation from the Williams Family. Tomorrow is old Madam William's 85 birthday, and I will take Jenny to attend. You two should come along as well'.

As soon she finished speaking Gina eyes darted around twice.

Tomorrow is the Old Madam 85 birthday celebration, and Mother wants Jenny to tag along, someone who isn't fit for such occasion......

Does it mean that the old lady want to use tomorrow birthday banquet to get Jenny engaged to Williams youngest son.

This thought made Gina clench her fist.

This was her biggest worry.

Jenny is not worthy of been called the daughter-in-law of the Williams Family.

Jenny sensed Gina anxiousness and quickly guessed what she was thinking.

But she pretended not to know, and lowered her head to eat with her heart racing.

In her previous life, she obviously did leave a good impression on the ,Williams old lady, she thought that Sophia was more suitable to marry into the Williams Family.

But now, she came back from revenge, and being able to have close relationship with the Williams Family was the best thing that would happen.
