CHAPTER 3

"Excuse me", Jenny spoke softly, "Are you the people my father sent to pick me up?".

The butler turned around and was astonished with the appearance of Jenny's face full of scars from what looks like burnt. That was how the butler knew she was the one they were waiting.

However, shouldn't a Hitherside girl like her be weak and timid? Why did he feel this way, from this girl, that made he not want to understimate her? It must be an illusion.

The butler regained his composure and nodded, "Yes, FirsMiss, we are here to pick you up..."

"Thank you, for your support and hard work, let's go then".

Jenny smiled slightly, a smile that almost made the butler sick. She was too ugly and scary looking! But that was great, as Lady Gina had intentionally arranged a lunch today and invited famous ladies to the house just to let everyone know how ugly she was. When the rumors spread to the William's family, who had their son bethroned to Jenny, they as a powerful and wealthy family, would not want their son to marry a woman who was both ugly and plain. This way, the Second Miss to Lady Gina will have a chance to marry into the William's Family.

"First Miss please get into the car..."

The butler pinched his thigh hard to maintain his composure, not showing any disguist or nausea, and drive the car with a pretense of calmness.

About half an hour later, the car stopped at the entrance of Owen's Family villa.

Jenny stared at the familiar small villa in front of her, remembering the first time she came her in her previous life.

Jenny heart was in turmoil but she kept a calm face, showing no ripples.

The living room was full of guest, and the room was filled with expensive decorations.

Jenny knew that these decorations would not be taken out in the Owen's Family, for fear if been damaged. Today her stepmother Gina, had deliberately displayed them to intimidate her.

"Madam". The butler stepped forward to the middle of the living room and bowed slightly, saying, "Madam, First Miss has returned".

Gina tried to suppress the corner of her mouth that has curl up, and raised her voice to the old lady sitting in the wheelchair, "Mom, Jenny is back".

The old lady now had less time awake, and more time asleep. Today, she knew that her other granddaughter was coming back, so she forced her to stay awake.

Upon hearing Gina say that Jenny has returned, the old lady slowly opened her eyes, and there was an uncontrollable sharpness between her eyebrows. She asked the butler in low voice "Where is she".

The butler realized he was blocking Jenny and quickly stepped aside. Everyone turned to look at her curiously. She had a face covered with burnt scars making her repulsive, and her shaddy clothes made her seems like a country bumpkin. Gina swallowed a sneer and beckoned to Jenny with feigned kindness, "Gina, come up here, quickly". As she spoke, Gina used her eye to signal her exquisitely dressed daughter, Sophia,who was sitting next to her. Sophia understood and got up to greet Jenny, holding her hands despite felling disguisted. "Sister, you are finally back! I've been waitingg for you since I headed you were coming back". Soohia was known as the number one socialite in Dreamland. She was wearing a designer limited edition red dress, tall and slender with long hair and a thin waist. Compared to the dusty and disheveled Jenny, she was fair skinned, beautiful, looked like a painting. Jenny couldn't help but feel a complex sadness, when she looked at Sophia, who was so close to her. It was no wonder Francis had abandoned her, and teamed up with Sophia to remove her eyes. No man could resist such temptation. The guest whispered at each other "Isn't the Firstt Miss of the Owen's too ugly Compared to the Second Miss, it's like one is in heaven, and the other in mud". "No wonder the Owen's Family only brought her back now. If I had a daughter that looks like her, I wouldn't want her back in my lifetime lest she embarass us!" "I heared that Jenny and the Second Master of the Williams Family have a pre-arranged marriag. She has been betrohed to the Second Master of the Williams right from birth. If Madam Yolanda finds out, she will be furious". Sophia lips curved unconsciously when she heard the gossip.

She suddenly don't mind Jenny's arrival anymore. With this ugly duckling here, she could better display her status as the top socialite. Jenny natural heard th mocking voice, but her heart remained unaffected. No amount of hurtful word could hurt her, a person whom had already died once.

Ignoring the voices, Jenny nodded slightly at Sophia as greeting. Then,she gracefully walked past Gina outstanding decorations and walked up to her grandmother. "Grandma's am back".

Her manners were respectful, graceful and flawless. The guest who were mocking her instinctively shut their mouths.

The old lady squinted her eyes and saw that the girl face was covered with burnt scars, but her eyes were exceptionally bright. Most people who saw her for the first time were intimidated by her strong aura but this grandchild of her's was not afraid of her. This made her appreciate Jenny a little more, and she beckoned for Jenny to come to her side.

"Indeed, she's a good child and look like a lucky one".

Jenny looked at her grandma aged face, and her heart couldn't help but to stir. She gathered her courage and hugged the old lady.

"Grandmother I missed you so much".

The old lady's back stiffened slightly obviously not used to such treatment. But she regained her composure just in time and hugged Jenny back, saying, "You must be tired from the journey".

Jenny smiled the fragrance of medicine on the lady's body and her heart felt relieved. When the old lady passed away in her previous life, she cried and held Jenny apologizing to her, for not taking good care of her.

At that time, Jenny didn't understand why she was a apologizing, but now she fully understood through Sophia words before she died.

Her grandmother knew that her stepmother had killed her mother, but since the death can't be brought to life and Gina was pregnant at that time, she could only pretend not to know and maintain a peaceful home.

Since get grandmother owed her, she would make use of this opportunity to bring up old matter and seek revenge for her mother.

"It's not tiring at all, Grandma, I'm happy to see you, and am not afraid of any trouble'. Jenny words made her grandma to smile. It's was rare for a younger generation not to be scared of her. She hasn't felt this close to a younger generation in a long time.

Gina looksed at the old lady's satisfied expression and her face turned black.

Wasn't this girl from the Hither Hitherside? Why was she so elegant, her speech were charming? In every aspect, she was better than Sophia whom she had carefully trained.

Gina was so angry that her eye turned, she suddenly smiled and asked "Jenny's it's has been so long since will last saw each other. Did you bring any gift for your grandma?".
