CHAPTER SIX
Instead of driving back to the office after leaving Hollywood station, I went back to Brentwood. I wanted to know if Tracy Reid could tell me something more about Audrey Ryan.
When I arrived at the Reid residence, Tracy told me a mutual acquaintance had phoned her with the news of Audrey Ryan’s death. She told me she could think of no reason for the suicide. She also said she could imagine no possible connection between the suicide and the disappearance of her stepdaughters.
“Audrey was Sienna’s friend,” Tracy said. “I didn’t know her that well, but she seemed happy and content the last time I saw her.”
“When was that?”
“About two or three weeks ago.”
“Sienna ever mention anything about Audrey being depressed?”
“No, though I know Audrey was inclined to feel dissatisfied
