CHAPTER SIXTEEN The clock on the wall of my office told me it was nine-fifteen. I leaned back in my chair, put my hands behind my head, and thought about what I knew. It wasn’t much. One thing was for sure. It appeared an obvious pattern had emerged involving Sienna and Bailey Reid, Audrey Ryan, and now the Horton girl. All four young women had attended Colonnades Charter High School. Sure, maybe it was only coincidence. But in my experience, something that seems only a coincidence rarely is. Sienna was still missing, and the other three were dead. That was another reason I didn’t believe their connection to the same high school was mere coincidence. It was doubtful there was anything about attending a particular high school that prompted former students to disappear or commit suicide.
