A World of Power and Blood

438 Words
The city never slept. Beneath the glimmering skyline of New York, in the shadows of towering skyscrapers, a world of power, violence, and loyalty thrived. A world ruled by the mafia, where one wrong move could mean death. And at the top of this ruthless empire stood Damian De Luca—cold, merciless, and untouchable. The air inside Club Inferno, one of the De Luca family's exclusive nightclubs, was thick with smoke and alcohol. The bass of the music vibrated through the floors, but in a private VIP lounge overlooking the dance floor, Damian sat in silence. Dressed in an all-black tailored suit, his presence alone commanded fear. His sharp, midnight-blue eyes scanned the men before him—two trembling men who had made a fatal mistake. “You think stealing from me was a good idea?” Damian’s voice was low, almost calm, but laced with danger. One of the men, Marco Santoro, was sweating bullets. “I-It was just a misunderstanding, boss. We—” A gunshot rang out. Marco’s friend collapsed on the floor, blood pooling beneath him. The club's music drowned out the gunfire, and no one dared to react. Damian exhaled slowly, spinning the g*n in his hand. His expression remained unreadable as he turned his attention back to Marco, whose face had gone pale. “I don’t give second chances, Marco.” Marco fell to his knees, begging. But Damian was already bored. He turned to his right-hand man, Enzo Romano, who stood silently by his side. “Clean this up.” Enzo nodded. “Yes, boss.” Without another word, Damian stood and walked out of the club, leaving the mess behind. This was the life he was born into—a life of control, power, and blood. And he ruled it without mercy. Meanwhile… Across the city, in a quiet neighborhood far from the chaos of the mafia world, Serena Callisto hurried through the crowded streets, clutching her sketchbook to her chest. She had just finished her shift at a small art gallery, where she worked to support herself through college. Unlike the world Damian thrived in, hers was simple, peaceful, and filled with dreams of becoming a professional artist. Serena sighed as she checked her phone. Her adoptive father had sent a message, reminding her to come home early. “Right, right. I’m coming,” she muttered, smiling softly. She had no idea that her past—the truth about who she really was—was slowly catching up to her. And soon, she would cross paths with Damian De Luca, the man who would change her life forever.
