The news of Wayne Investments’ latest triumph spread like wildfire across the internet. Headlines praised how the company had outshone rivals across America and climbed to the very top globally, dominating industries from oil to jewelry, from household stocks to luxury goods. And at the center of it all was Finn Wayne. The youngest son of the Wayne family had taken over as CEO only months ago, yet he had already elevated his father’s empire to unimaginable heights. That evening, three black jeeps rolled through the heavy gates of the Wayne's mansion, coming to a halt at the grand porch. Escorts stepped out swiftly, opening the door for Finn. He emerged, tall and composed, adjusting his suit as his sharp gaze met the butler waiting at the entrance. “Good evening, Sir Wayne,” Richard the butler greeted, falling in step beside him. “Where are my wives?” Finn asked as they entered. “Lady Adella went to the florist’s shop and Lady Sylvia is at the cottage overseeing renovations,” Richard replied. Finn nodded, taking his briefcase. “Thank you, Richard. How is your son?” “Doing well, thanks to you, sir.” Finn gave his shoulder a light pat. “You’re a good man. Send for Sylvia. Sylvia arrived not long after, her face glowing with excitement. The moment she entered his room, she rushed into his arms. “Finn!” she exclaimed, kissing him passionately. “How was the contract signing?” she asked, helping him loosen his buttons. “It went smoothly. Mr. Fodd was easy to convince.” “I told you so,” Sylvia teased proudly before pulling him into another, deeper kiss. Later that night, Adella walked into the kitchen, her presence soft yet commanding. “Good evening, Lady Adella,” the maids chorused. “Why are you still awake? It’s almost midnight,” she asked gently. “We’re finishing up, my Lady. Do you need anything?” Adella smiled. “I just want to make my husband the coffee he loves.” The maids exchanged knowing looks. Everyone in the mansion knew that Sir Wayne adored the coffee only Adella could make. When she entered Finn’s study, he looked up immediately, his expression softening. “My love,” he said, rising to meet her. “I brought you coffee,” she said, handing him the mug. He took a sip and closed his eyes briefly. “Perfect. As always.” Adella smiled. Then tilted her head slightly. “How was the contract? I didn’t get the chance to ask earlier… since your favorite wife was busy all over you.” Finn chuckled, brushing her hair gently. “Ella… I don’t have favorites. You know you are my only love.” He said softly, coming to her and she tried to hide her blush. Moments later, Adella left him to finish his work then stepped out of the study into the hallway where Sylvia appeared. “If it isn’t the woman parading herself all over the mansion,” she sneered. “Not tonight, Sylvia. I’m tired,” Adella replied. “Oh, I won’t stop,” Sylvia continued coldly. “Finn is mine. And the moment I give him a son..an heir, you’ll be thrown out.” Adella let out a soft, mocking laugh. “With that womb of yours? After everything you did to it? I doubt it.” Sylvia’s face flamed. “How dare you!” “You started this,” Adella replied calmly, walking past her. Sylvia stood there, shaking with rage. All she needed… was a son. Weeks later, Adella stood in her bathroom, staring at the test strip in her trembling hands. Positive. A gasp escaped her lips as tears filled her eyes. “I’m pregnant…” she muttered and rushed to the living room where Finn sat with Sylvia beside him. “I’m pregnant, honey!” Adella announced, glowing. Finn stood instantly, taking the test strip from her. “…It’s true,” he murmured when he saw it, then broke into a smile. “We’re going to be parents!” He hugged her tightly and Sylvia shot up from her seat. “What kind of joke is this?!” Adella ignored her completely, basking in Finn’s joy. “I’ll go to the hospital tomorrow,” she said happily. “I just know it’s a boy.” Sylvia stormed out. Months passed and Adella was already two months along when Sylvia also became pregnant but later than her. Scans confirmed it. Both were carrying boys. But Adella’s due date came first. And that changed everything. While Adella kept nurturing her pregnancy and promising her unborn child a better life,Sylvia was busy scheming. There is no way on earth she would let Adella sideline her. Never! Days before her due date, Adella was having dinner with Finn and Sylvia when a sharp pain hit her. “Ahh!” she cried, clutching her stomach. Finn rushed to her. “What’s wrong?!” “He’s coming, Finn!” she cried. “Our son! He's coming!” Her water broke instantly and panic erupted. “Richard!” Finn shouted. “Get the baby box and meet me at the hospital!” As they rushed out, Sylvia sat frozen utterly confused. Adella was meant to go into labor the next week. Why now!? Quickly ,she stood before Richard would run out of the dining room. “I’m going into labor too,” she said coldly and he halted. “Prepare my car.” At the hospital, Finn paced restlessly as both women screamed in labor. Minutes stretched endlessly then two cries filled the air. The doctors stepped out a while later. “They’re both safe,” one said. “Congratulations Mr Wayne. You now have two boys.” Finn exhaled in relief, holding his head. “Who was first?” Richard asked. “They were born at the same time so we can't tell. But one is premature and has been placed in incubation.” Finn smiled widely. “I’m a father!" He cheered. Years later “Coming live from Watchtower Airport…” The Wayne heirs had returned. Pedro stepped out first, silver-grey hair gleaming, confidence radiating from him and next was Nathaniel dressed in black, quiet, and his presence heavy with authority who alighted the car with the family watching and waiting at the entrance. “PEDRO!” Riana screamed, running straight into his arms. Then Nathaniel approached Adella. “My son…” she whispered, cupping his face. “Mom,” he said softly, pulling her into a rare, warm embrace. Much later, laughter filled the dining table. “How was Italy?” Clara asked eagerly. "Sad that I couldn't round up my SAT exams early." She mumbled and Pedro grinned. “We’ll take you there someday.” Meanwhile, Romeo excitedly told Nathaniel about his music, while he listened. “I’m done eating,” Riana suddenly announced, slamming her fork down. “Riana,” Sylvia said sharply, “you will not attend that street-skating competition.” “The hell, Mom?!” Riana fired back. “Disobey me and I cut your allowance and I mean it!" Sylvia threatened and Riana stormed out. That is exactly how she is. A selfish tyrant even to her own kids. Later, Nathaniel came knocking at Riana's door and walked in to meet her sitting on her bed. “Hey little witch. " He smirked coming to her and they hugged. After a while, they sat down in silence while he studied her for a moment. "This competition seems really important." He said and she nodded with a downcast look and he suddenly smirked. “Wanna go shopping?” he asked and she blinked, looking at him really confused. Then she immediately understood exactly what he meant and a wide smile formed across her face. “I’ll pack!” she gushed, jumping out of the bed fast and Nathaniel chuckled quietly.
