Part 2 The cold touch continued to creep slowly upward along her legs. When that ice-cold hand pressed above her knees, against her thighs, Ivana felt something inside her twist with fear. Her mind screamed at her to push the unknown presence away with all her strength, to get out of the bed and run from the room. But her body refused to move. She was completely restrained by some invisible force, unable to move even the smallest finger. Fear coiled around her like a snake. Her heart began pounding so violently that it felt as though it might burst through her ribs. Cold beads of sweat slipped down her forehead and soaked into the pillow. Suddenly, she sensed the presence right beside her ear. A breath filled with an unnatural, bone-chilling cold brushed against her ear. Along with it came that same intense fragrance of wildflowers and mysterious perfume, rushing into her nostrils. A strange, icy sensation moved along her trembling neck. She knew then that this was not merely an ordinary dream. Disgust, fear, and confusion surged through her all at once. There was something wild and unmistakably supernatural about the presence surrounding her. Desperately trying to save herself, she struggled with everything she had to scream and force her eyes open into the darkness. But not even the faintest sound escaped her throat. Feeling the cold weight drawing closer and the unnatural presence surrounding her, Ivana lay completely helpless on the bed. The mysterious presence seemed to move closer still, leaving her terrified and unable to understand what was happening. For a moment, another strange sensation overwhelmed her, leaving her confused and frightened by her own reaction. "No... I can't surrender to this!" The instant a fierce instinct for self-preservation awakened somewhere deep inside her, she gathered every bit of strength she had and forced her eyes open. With a terror that nearly stopped her heart, she suddenly sat upright in bed. Strands of sweat-soaked hair had fallen across her face. With trembling eyes, she looked toward every corner of the room. The room was empty. There was no one beside the bed. Not even a trace of the terrifying presence she had felt moments earlier could be found in the dark corners of the room. For a moment, she forgot how to breathe. Then she looked down. A gasp escaped her. Her clothes were disheveled, leaving her feeling exposed and vulnerable. A cold wave seemed to pass through her entire body. Terrified, she quickly pulled her clothes together and held them tightly against herself. Her hands were trembling. She looked around once again, her eyes filled with fear and suspicion. The intense cold that had filled the room only moments ago was gone. So was the intoxicating fragrance of those mysterious wildflowers. Everything had returned to normal. "Was all of this... just in my imagination? Was it only a nightmare?" Her thoughts spiraled. Was the grief of losing Ebby affecting her mind? Or had this simply been an unusually vivid nightmare born from her exhausted mind? She couldn't understand anything anymore. Even now, it felt as though the memory of that icy presence still lingered on her skin. She was afraid to close her eyes again. What if the same terrifying experience returned the moment she did? The thought shook her to the core. Still, she desperately tried to convince herself that everything had been nothing more than a nightmare. "It's nothing, Ivana... It was just a dream..." she whispered softly. After straightening her clothes, she pulled the blanket close to herself and slowly closed her eyes again, praying silently. But deep within the darkness of that enormous apartment, another silence was waiting patiently to swallow her once more...
