I looked at the time and decided if I got there slightly early, then I could use my toiletries to wipe myself down and change my dress and do something with my mop of hair. It wasn’t looking the same as when I stepped out of the salon. If anything, it looked worse than when I’d gone in. I looked at the photo the stylist took and then took a quick selfie while in the taxi to compare them. It was as if the photos were taken by two completely different people. It didn’t matter that I didn’t have my eyebrows shaped or false eyelashes on (a little treat I decided to implement at the time) when I took the first photo.
