Jemma’s POV:   2 Years Ago   I leaped down the last of the stairs and rounded into the kitchen. Skidding on my heels, I came to a stop at our kitchen table. I pulled out the worn down chair and sat down, waiting for my mother to hand me breakfast. A smile came upon my face when she turned around and showed she had prepared my favorite meal.   "Happy birthday, darling." My mom's sweet voice pierced the room. She held a bright smile on her face that made her wrinkles show, but she looked anything but weary. Her blonde hair and bright blue eyes brought her face to life and showed she had many years left despite her wrinkles.    "Thanks mom."
