Grief

"You called for me sir?" Antonio, Gabrielle's personal aide and head over all his affairs said. Gabrielle didn't look at him, instead he kept sipping his vodka, staring into space. Gabrielle was seated at the balcony of his mansion, with bodyguards stationed all over the place. Gabrielle was heavily guarded, that nobody could gain access to him, without an appointment. "I asked for you Antonio. What are you saying about my package?" Gabrielle snarled. "Umm sir your goods will come to port by tomorrow. I've spoken to boys, they'll be available by tomorrow." Antonio reported. Gabrielle's lips curled into an evil smirk. Everything was going as planned. Gabrielle was one of the largest sellers of cocaine in the city. He was very ruthless, that no one dared to trifle with him, one wrong move was met with sudden death. His men understood this, and disloyalty from any of them, was met with severe consequences. " And what about the custom officers at the port?" Gabrielle squinted his eyes. "You don't need to worry about that sir. We'll have all that covered by tomorrow." Antonio assured. Gabrielle nodded his head, pleased with Antonio. Antonio was the only one Gabrielle could trust. If he needed a job done, then Antonio was the right man for the job. After Gabrielle's encounter with the strange girl at the club, his thoughts had been distracted. He disliked women . They were like distractions, and he wanted nothing to do with them. But after his encounter with the strange girl, his narrative about them changed. He could remember her soft moans, as he pounded her softly. She was a virgin, and he had disvirgined her. For the first time in his life, he felt guilty about something. He couldn't get her off his mind, and he hated the feeling. She looked very young, probably between the age of 20-24. She was too young to mess with his head. 'f**k' He wanted to lie beside her again, to feel her soft skin, and perceive the sweet aroma of roses in her hair. She looked very beautiful when sleeping. Her hair, scattered on the sheets like sleeping beauty. Whoever she was, or wherever she lived he was going to get her by all means, even if it was against her will. Gabrielle had access to any organization, person, or business in the city. He ran the city in the underground, and nothing was beyond his grasp . The girl was a little task for him, and he was willing to go extra mile to get her for himself. But for now , he should send a spy to watch her. To know where she lived, who she lives with, and to watch her every move. Apart from his mum, he wasn't close to any other female. He always felt the ick whenever he was around them, and it became worse whenever he had intimacy with them, but last night it was different. His entire system was calm, and he didn't feel the ick. He recognized her at the hospital earlier, and was mesmerized by her beauty. And what was she doing in the hospital anyway, was she hurt? he felt guilty for making her feel pain. He didn't know she was undefiled, and they were both under the influence of alcohol. Gabrielle gritted his teeth, before storming into the house to find Antonio. ********************************* "Sir Samuel is here, he's the perfect man for the job." Antonio beamed, introducing a tall, lanky man. Perfect. Samuel was just perfect. Samuel was going to be the perfect stalker. In all the years Samuel worked as a spy, his identity never leaked out. Gabrielle was pleased with his skillful prowess. "Step forward Samuel." Gabrielle ordered, examining him from head to toe. Samuel stepped forward, removing his face cap, so that Gabrielle could see his face properly. "You see this girl?" Gabrielle said, showing him a picture of a girl on his phone. "You're to watch her, find out where she lives, and who she lives with." Samuel nodded in affirmation, examining the picture carefully. "Not one hair on her head should be missing. You're not to harm her, or frighten her. Your job is to watch her and bring back details to me." Gabrielle ordered. Samuel nodded his head. He understood his assignment perfectly, and wasn't going to fumble. "You touch her, that means you've touched me. You're a learned man, I don't need to point out the consequences. When you're done bringing me tangible evidence, you will be rewarded a million dollars" Gabrielle nodded. Samuel smiled at the mention of his reward. He wasn't going to fail Gabrielle. Gabrielle glanced at the picture of the girl again, this time his heart skipped a beat. What was she doing to him? He had taken the picture when she was asleep. Antonio stood there watching his Boss struggle with his feelings. Who was this girl that had so much hold on his boss? He'd never seen Gabrielle pay any attention to any woman before, so why the sudden change. Whoever she was,she better get ready for what was coming, or else Gabrielle wouldn't take no for an answer. *************************** Back at Alexa's apartment, she sat at her apartment window, after reading the famous book, 'Romeo and Juliet' . She smiled sheepishly. She always thought David was her Romeo. Tears welled up in her eyes, as she remembered all she had endured because of David. 'You're not beautiful, and I will never love you' Those words cut deeper than a knife. David had built their relationship on lies and secrecy, making her feel less all the time. She glanced at her phone on the bed. Should she call him? Perhaps she'll be able to convince him this time around. She dialled David's number, with shaky hands. Her heart racing, expectantly. Longing to hear his voice. Her heart shattered when he busied her call. She clutched her chest to hold back from screaming. Each heavy sob, making her body tremble violently. "I love you." She whispered, kneeling to the ground in grief. Her shoulders trembled, as she lay sprawled out on the cold floor. Her clothes, drenched with her tears, making it look like she was wet by rain. .....she will never love like this again. Towards evening, Alexa went to empty out the trash. Her eyes still swollen from crying. As she poured out the trash into the trash can, from the corner of her eyes, she caught the silhouette of a man across the street. He wore a black hoodie and black sweatpants. His face was covered entirely with a face mask, and only his eyes showed, menacingly. Cold shivers ran down her spine, and her mouth suddenly became dry. She emptied the trash quickly, and hurried back into her room. Who is he? She peeped through her window, and the man was gone. Was her mind playing tricks on her? She peeped through the window again, and it was as if no one ever stood there. Was she seeing ghosts now? Had David turned her to a maniac? No she wasn't seeing ghosts. She knows some one was watching her from across the road. Suddenly her phone rang, startling her. It was Olivia. She heaved a sigh of relief, as she answered the call. "Hey baby girl!!" Olivia's shrilled. "I was going to the cinema later today to go check out this badass movie. I got two tickets. Wanna come?" A movie night at this point, was a life saver. Alexa needed to clear her head, and going out with Olivia was the best shot. "Of course I will. What time?" Alexa beamed. "Ummm 8:30, but we have to be there by 8 to grab the first seat." That's Olivia right there. Always on time. "8 is perfect. I'll call you" Alexa mumbled, before hanging up. ******************************* Alexa wore her coat and stepped out into the chilly evening. It was drizzling, and the Street was empty with just few cars on the road. Alexa slipped her phone into her pants , as it was common for pick pockets and robbers to operate during this kind of time. The soft patter of her boots on the wet concrete could be heard, as she hurried down to the cinema. As she crossed the road, a black Mercedes Benz cornered , and began trailing her. Alexa clutched her phone tightly, convinced that they were robbers. Suddenly the car stopped, and two men stepped out. She increased her pace, hoping to cut them off at the alley close by. The men continued following her , while the Mercedes kept moving at a distance. Thankfully, the alley was close by, and she slipped into it, thankful for the darkness that covered it . She crawled under a table, using a basket to hide herself from sight. The men came into the alley, cautiously searching for her in the darkness. She giggled when she saw them retreating. Her small stature had finally paid off today. She coiled herself under the table, using the basket as a barrier, making it almost impossible to be seen. Suddenly her phone rang. It was Olivia. "f**k!" Alexa gasped, praying the men didn't hear. Sounds of their footsteps started getting closer and closer.
