CHAPTER FOURTEEN
“Shad!” Osana tottered through the grand hallway, her voice echoing. “Shad, please.”
He raced down the corridor steps and exited the building.
“Let me explain.” She struggled to keep up, stepping on her gown. “It’s not what you think!” She flew out the door and stopped halfway on the steps. “Shad!”
“What?” He whipped around, pointing at her. “What the hell do you have to say, Osana?”
“I...I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“Then what did you mean?” His green eyes sprung from their sockets. “Because you sure as hell can’t believe I’d be happy about this!”
“It’s not like I owe you an explanation.” She squinted, hands gripping her waist. “You ran off for three months and wouldn’t tell me when you were coming back then when you came back your a*s didn’t tell me you were here!”
