“Hm…your newfound friend seems to be extra kind,” Mrs. Smith admired, keeping Ivy’s company, while she was doing the dishes.
“Ivy has a friend? That’s wonderful!” Her father cut in as he came in to get water.
As she heard her father walk in, she immediately gave her mother a disappointed look because she knew she was going to have to answer some more questions since her mother couldn't find a better time to discuss Peter.
“Yes honey, he’s been dropping her home from work for a few days now.” Mrs. Smith added.
Ivy could tell they were both trying to tease her as they always do so she didn't act like she was listening to them, rather she placed all her energy on the plates she was washing as she began humming to a song.
