Holly fought back a yawn and lost. She was used to staying up late, but she’d gotten up early this morning, well early for her, and it had been a busy day. The last of the families had just left, and as bad as she wanted to go to bed and pass out till morning, she didn’t want to go alone. She’d never admit to waiting for Kyle, but she found herself hanging around. “Hey, Jailbait. How about you join me for a little fun?” one brother called in his slow, Louisiana drawl as he curled his hands in a come-hither motion. “Sorry, Lurch, not interested tonight.” Her stomach churned as she waited for him to yell at her, to demand she come do whatever he demanded, even though she knew the Demented Souls weren’t like that.
