CHAPTER FIVE
Alfonso and the girls arrived at the new site at four o’clock in the morning. After struggling in the dark to lower the caravan legs, secure the front wheel, unravel electricity cables and hosepipes, they dumped the empty gas bottle outside the door and fell exhausted into their beds.
Two hours later, they were awoken by the sound of a fist banging loudly on their door and the shrill shouting of Martina.
"Get up, come on, get up!"
The girls struggled to open their eyes, looked at each other and frowned.
Melissa dragged herself out of bed and opened the door, squinting into the harsh, early morning sunlight that invaded her retinas and left her temporarily blind.
"Time to move," Martina informed them.
"Move?" Melissa looked past Martina and became aware of the scene play
