After the practice, Lisa ran off to find Mario. She tried his caravan, but he was not home. When she approached his parents’ trailer her run trailed to slow, leaden footsteps. She paused and then knocked with a tentative fist on the door and saw the caravan lurch from left to right as the bulk of Mario’s mum, Maria, swung herself to a standing position and waddled towards the door.
"Er…Mario?" Lisa inquired as the door inched open.
His mother studied her through narrowed eyes before turning to look back inside the caravan. Her eyes focused on someone or something before she turned back to Lisa.

Lisa felt sure that she was lying and that Mario was hiding from her inside the trailer. He just did not want to speak to her.
