Back at the caravan, Wendy gripped the bedding, trying to hold her tongue. Lisa had been moping around all morning and it was getting on her nerves. "Will you buck up! Stop thinking about him. You look like you’ve dropped a pound and found a penny. Or should I say dropped some Reales and found a centavo?" she grinned at her conversion joke. Lisa looked confused. "What?" "Bloody hell, you really like him, don’t you?" Wendy sat opposite her and stared into her watery eyes. She did not wait for a reply. "Look. If it’s meant to be, it will be. Don’t worry so much. Everything will sort itself out." "Do you think so?" Lisa’s tear-filled eyes pulled at Wendy’s heart. "Yes, I’m sure of it. I tell you what, get dressed and we’ll go into town. That should take your mind off things for a while.”
