Church was a nightmare.
It was a nightmare mostly because mom basically dragged me into the confessional and the conversation with Father Hernandez was . . . well, it was awkward.
I’m religious.
Catholic, raised amongst the church community.
I know a lot about religion because mom always prayed alongside me. We always read the bible together. She often referenced the good book in her everyday life, using it as a teaching tool in the hopes that I’d have a strong sense of righteousness, morality.
But here we are.
“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” (Matthew 7:1). Don’t be judgmental is the lesson there.
