EVELYN So the plan to have a chill night outside was a fail. By the time Lionel dropped me off at home, my headache had doubled. Between stabbing a man, seeing Arthur, and having him openly question Toby’s paternity in the middle of a nightclub, I was dangerously close to losing whatever remained of my sanity. The second I stepped through the front door, I kicked off my heels and let out a long breath. Thankfully, Toby was already asleep by the time I got home. I stood in his doorway for a few minutes, watching him sleep. His blanket was half-kicked off the bed, one sock was missing from his legs, and his stuffed dinosaur was lying face-down on the floor.
