I…” I trailed off, after pushing open the transparent doors to my company’s building, and being greeted by a group of my staff, whispering to themselves.
They froze on seeing me, and a couple of them dispersed to their assigned spots.
Flora rushed back to her receptionist desk and flashed me a smile, “Good day ma’am!” She chirped. Her voice was louder than usual.
I looked around again. Other people pretended to be doing other stuff, but I could smell their attention on me. Something was up.
