"What!!" Brenda half yelled. "M m mother, please, you can't do that, you can't starve me." Brenda cried. "I can and I will, if you don't want that, then tell us where you went." Marian asked. Anne scoffed. "I bet she went out with a guy." Anne said. Marian frowned. "Is this true?" She asked. "N n no mom, that's not true, I only went out to see a friend of mine." Brenda lied. Anne immediately burst into laughter. "Jeez, you should find something else to lie with, darling. We all know you have no friends, so just quit lying." Anne said. Marian sighed deeply, she grabbed Brenda's wrist, then she dragged her upstairs to her room. They got to her room, she forcefully opened the door, then she pushed Brenda in. "You're not to leave this room, and you won't be given any food or water until I say so." Marian said, then she closed the door. Brenda felt too weak to protest, she dropped to her knees, and she cried even more. These days, all she's done was to cry. "When will my sufferings come to an end?" She said in tears. She laid on the floor, and she cried herself to sleep. **** Dylan's Mansion.... "Hey babe." Pamela said as she joined Dylan in the living room. "Hey." "I'm sorry I couldn't meet you at the club last night, my mom called me for something important. I'm so sorry about that." Pamela apologized. "It's fine, you don't have to apologize." Dylan said. "I'll go make us something to eat, it's a kind of peace offering." Pamela said, and Dylan chuckled. "Whatever you say." He replied. Pamela stood up, then she went into the kitchen. Dylan's mind went to what happened last night, an ounce of pity for the lady was slowly creeping in, but he brushed it off. "As long as she didn't see me, everything is okay, and besides, it's only one night, she's a stranger and I shouldn't care about what happened, it was a mistake and what's done is done, it's impossible to change what has happened already." He said to himself, then he focused his attention on the movie he was watching. **** Few weeks later.... Brenda woke up feeling very nauseous. She hurriedly got down from the bed, then she rushed to her bathroom, she dropped to her knees and she threw up in the toilet. She coughed loudly, then she stood up, she went to the sink and she rinsed her mouth with water, then she brushed her teeth. "What's wrong with me, am I having a fever or what." She said. She placed a palm on her head to feel her temperature, and it was normal. The urge to throw up came again and she rushed to the toilet and threw up in it, when she was done, she stood up, and she brushed her teeth again. This time, she felt scared, she couldn't tell what was wrong with her, and it was beginning to scare her. "S should I go tell mom about this? I think i need to see a doctor." She said. She sighed, since she was already in the bathroom, she'll just take her bath, then she'll go tell her mom that she needs to visit the hospital. **** Brenda has managed to complete all her chores, she wouldn't want a situation where her mother will try to use that from stopping her to go see a doctor. She went to her parents room and she placed a knock on the door. "Come in." Her mother said from inside. Brenda was already shaking with fear, and she was feeling very nervous, she slowly opened the door, and she went in. Her mother sat in front of her mirror doing her makeup, she saw Brenda from the mirror and she frowned. "Yes? What do you want?" She asked. Brenda swallowed the lump in her throat, her heart was beating so fast. "Uhm...sorry to bother you mother, I wanted to tell you that I'll like to go see a doctor, I don't feel so well." She said. Marian scoffed. "You can do whatever you want, just don't spend the whole day at the hospital." Marian said without concern, she didn't even bother to ask what was wrong with Brenda, she doesn't want to know and she doesn't care. "Thank you mother." Brenda said. She chose to ignore the fact that her mother didn't even bother to ask her what's wrong with her, and she just left. **** City Hospital.... Brenda sat in the doctor's office, impatiently waiting for the doctor to come attend to her. The door opened, and the doctor finally came in. "Pardon me dear, I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting." She said as she went to sit down. "There's no problem." Brenda smiled. "So, what's the problem?" "I don't feel so good, I've been feeling dizzy, and I also keep throwing up." Brenda explained. The doctor furrowed her brow. "You feel dizzy, and you also keep throwing up." She repeated. Brenda nodded. "Okay honey, let's not jump into any conclusions yet, we'll run some tests on you and see what's wrong." The doctor said. "Okay doctor." Brenda said. "Come with me please." The doctor said, she stood up, and she left her office, with Brenda trailing behind her. **** Half an hour later.... Brenda sat in the waiting room, waiting for her tests results. A nurse walked up to her. "Excuse me, are you Brenda?" "Yes, that's me." "Alright, the doctor will like to see you in her office." The nurse said. "Thank you." Brenda replied, she stood up and went back to the doctor's office. "Please, take a sit." The doctor said, and Brenda went to sit down. The doctor didn't say anything, she only kept staring at Brenda. Brenda who was beginning to feel uncomfortable couldn't help but question the doctor. "W what's the matter doctor?" She stuttered. The doctor sighed deeply. "I really don't know how to put this." The doctor said, to her, Brenda didn't look like she'll be excited to hear the news. "Please doctor, can you just tell me what's wrong with me already." Brenda said impatiently, her heart was literally beating so fast. "Dear, your test results is out, and..." The doctor trailed. "And what?" Brenda asked, she wasn't ready for the answer, but she still needed to know. "You're two weeks pregnant." The doctor announced. Valeria's jaw dropped in shock, she couldn't believe her ears. Suddenly, she burst into laughter, surprising the doctor. The doctor stared at her in confusion. She couldn't tell what was funny. "You're kidding right, this is a joke, I mean, how can I be pregnant, how....." She trailed off. Her mind suddenly went back to the incident that happened some few weeks back, and that was when it also became clear to her that she's been due to see her period, but it didn't come, and she had brushed it off, thinking it was a late flow. But no, this was no late flow, this was pregnancy, she was pregnant, she's carrying a stranger's baby. "Ahhhhh......" She screamed in shock.
