Chapter 1: Her View
Being a rich girl isn't equivalent to a happy and perfect life in the family that Amberly has. With her hands on her ears and doesn't want to listen to any arguments her family has.
“Adrian, if this is the life that you wanted your daughter to have, then this isn’t the life that you promised me to have! Let’s just end this – this will not work out!” Her mother angrily shouted while gasping for air and pointing her fingers at her father’s chest.
Seeing how hard her parent’s arguments are, and raising their voices as if they don’t have their parents' love for each other anymore, scares her.
She stood up and went outside of the place they were in. Amberly, at the age of twelve, cries heavily as she is walking on the sand and tries to handle everything that her family goes through.
“They don’t seem to have love in their hearts now. They – they are fighting like they don't love each other anymore.” Sobbing hard as she heard her mother calling her.
“Amberly, the rain falls so hard that it doesn't come near the sea!” Her mother saw her and panicked about what the child could do because of how hurt she was.
Walking in the wet sand and her feet drowning still, sobbing so hard and crying with the raindrops pouring on her face makes her feel unwanted and unloved. She thinks that her parents will not make their way to cleaning their mess anymore.
She feels that this is the end for their family and also for her life.
That's why when her mother comes near her, she suddenly goes to the sea and doesn't even know how tragic the scene will be because of the decision she made.
“Don’t go there, Amberly! Please get back here!” Her mother didn’t stop to warn her, but the heart of the child that hurt so much and in pain because of the reckless decisions of her parents makes her feel everything that sucks up.
“No mom! I don’t want to be like this! I don’t want to live if this is how my day will be!” Amberly uttered and went to the far side of the ocean even though she knows that she can’t handle the sea as much as she can’t swim.
“Please, baby!” Her father’s voice suddenly appeared, making her look at the back.
They are now at the shore waiting for her to come back. Now that she couldn’t even walk through the sea crust, little Amberly drowned herself, making the parents panic and her mother went toward her. With the heavy rains and the waves that come within.
Little did she know that, because of her impulsive childish decision, she wanted to kill herself, killing her mother the most. As she drowned herself in the sea with her eyes opened and trying to catch a single breath, with blurry eyesight – a bluish light sparked in that made her close it.
Her mother jumps into the sea even if it is a delicate decision, because of how strong the waves are right now, the love of the mother overflows within her heart, which makes the tragic ending for their family happen.

“No, don’t come near me!” She shouted as she opened her eyes and looked at the steering wheel.
She dreamed of the biggest nightmare she had in her life and sighed. She pushed the wheel and tried to calm herself and wake her from the dream she didn't want to dream of.
The saddest thing that happened to her life was not the breaking up of her parents but the sea that made them separate from each other forever.
The busy road and the sounds of the car are the music in her ears right now. When she looked out the window, the light crossed her car and she was blinded by the lights.
She covered her face and looked like the beauty of the sunlight hit her. She sighed and looked back at the street. The green light made her start the engine again.
“Luisa, how’s my schedule for today?” She asked her secretary by pressing her phone while driving calmly on the busy road.
“As for this morning, ma’am Amberly, you have a lot of free time not until three in the afternoon,” Secretary Luisa explained to her, which made her nod at everything her secretary added and asked Luisa.
“I still do have a lot of time to go there, right?” She asked the woman like she already knew what she was talking about.
“Yes, ma’am. You have a lot of time to go to your mother,” Luisa replied to her and they ended the call.
Amberly looked so stressed right now, but as soon as she heard those words a little smile came on her face and she looked at the window again and tried to open it for fresh air to come inside her car.
“A nice and free day, where no one will ever talk to me like I am just a thing to be used to when they need,” she uttered to herself as she drove by where she landed.
A place where she finds peace is the place that reminds her of her loss. She smiled as she walked out of her car and looked at the beautiful sea and sighed. Her hair was blown by the wind and she fixed it while walking on the sand. Her white dress looks so beautiful on her right now as she is reminiscing about her lost one. Her mother.
“Mom, can you hear me?” She asked if someone could hear her right now, but no one really did.
There were just people far away from her that made her look so comfortable talking to the wind. She is looking at the far side of the island now and tries to be happy in the hours that she has free time doing anything that she loves.
“Mom, if you can hear me, please blow a wind on me,” she stated as the wind really bowed to her, which made her chuckle.
“I am such a crazy girl,” she told herself while fixing her hair and looking at the same island with a serious face right now.
“Mom, what should I do? Everything is stressing me out. Everyone stresses me out but one thing that I inherit from you is to be strong,” the girl started and looked at the sand that was coming to her feet right now.
“I miss you but I will do everything to make them feel so proud of me, even though I feel like they are just using me for them to earn big. I know everything mom, but I can’t do anything about it,” she expresses everything and lets out in front of the sea.
The waves of the sea seemed very calming to her and she started playing in the sand on her bare feet now and chuckled. She took this chance to play in the sand and completely take off her slippers. She chuckled and looked at it and played with it like she was a little girl still.
“Mom, do you remember? I always play with sand with you whenever we are on the beach. I remember every single piece of memory with you and I know you remember it too, but hid all the treasure of memories there in heaven with you,” she said with a little smile on her face while still playing with her feet in the sand.
She walked through the sea and tried to play with her feet with the waves that were coming from the sea.
“This feels so refreshing,” she stated when the water from the sea covered her body up until she reached her capacity standing on the seafloor and watching the waves go through her.
She swam happily and tried to enjoy the moment. A lot of people are there on the other side of the beach enjoying themselves and she can hear how happy they are with their families. She thought the moment she had her family completed too.
The moment that her mother is still here and alive with her father and they always go to the beach. She swam until she reached the farther side of the ocean and still looked at the happy families further at the shore with their loud laughs that she was still hers.
“I envy them but I know Mom will always look at me like how Dad looks at me right now. I know my mom’s love is pure and genuine, unlike him,” the woman stated and tried to challenge herself by swimming at the farthest side of the sea when no one can come because of how deep it is.
Only good swimmers can cross that far and she is still embracing the sea like it was the hug of her mother. She is longing for more and to escape from reality and not look back at the shore again.
She didn’t want to put herself in self-destruction right now because she didn’t have so much time. She just wanted to spend this time with her mother and tried to be happy as much as possible. At the time that she wanted to go back to the shore, her legs got so cramped that she couldn't even swim anymore.
Poor Amberly drowned in the sea without the knowledge of anyone. A flashback from her childhood occurs when nobody tried to care for her. Gasping for air and still trying to revive her legs, which are still in cramps right now.
She believes that she can still survive and can swim up to the shore but as she tries to, her legs freeze, making her drown and drown until she can just see the lights that reflect on the sea waters.
Releasing the breath that she had, she fell slowly into the water with her eyes open to anyone who would feel that she was loved, but still, no one saved her.
“You are just a piece of sh*t! I can’t like you like how I like your sister!” A lot of voices started to ring in her mind.
This is how the water manipulates her right now. The perseverance and the confidence that she had earlier faded away. She started to feel her eyes releasing water that mixed with the saltiness of the sea.
“Life is so unfair,” are the words that she has on her mind right now.
“The life that I have maybe somehow good for others, but for me, this isn’t the life that I wanted!” she started to freak out and her emotions started to feed her.
Without trying to fight for the fate that he has right now, slowly drowning and her body still so calm. She smiled for the last time and thought that this would be the end of her life.
She has just visited her mother and right now she will meet her in another dimension. She raises her hand, longing for the last time, and looks at the light that reflects the sea and the only hope that she has in her heart before totally giving up.
“Mom, literally, I miss you so much! I think this is the time when I know nobody will rescue me and nobody will find me. They will just mourn at me for about a day or even hours and they will be back in their own life. That’s how important I am to them,” The words that she kept saying to herself, thinking that this would help.
Now, her consciousness suddenly becomes weak, like her eyesight becomes blurred. She smiled for the last time before embracing her fate and because of the cramps that she had right now, became the gift that she longed for a very long time.
She stops letting out the air that she has in her lungs, the last breath that she has, and tries to go with the flow, drowning in the water when she consciously touches the surface, but she isn’t sure of it.
She feels like someone touched her, someone brought her upward, and does not feel drowned in the water. She fights for her breath but when she finally understands the last hope that he has right now. It felt surreal for her and she tried to open her eyes even just for a glimpse.
Hoping that someone saves her from death. A blurred image she saw looking at her and looking upward. Yes, this time she is right. Someone brought her to life, panicking right now that made her lose her consciousness and everything was blank in her memories.
“Miss! Miss! Holy Gracious! Someone call an ambulance!” She heard an old voice of a woman that made her open her eyes and the small waves were coming to her feet.
She slowly tries to sit on the sand where she lay earlier and looks around hoping that her savior will come and see him breathing alive again.
“Wait, there’s no way that that was a dream,” She told herself and tried to pinch her cheeks to remember everything and look at the far side of the sea and the blurry vision that she still was right now, trying to make everything vivid. A vision of a man at the spot where she drowned is watching her right now.
“Who- who are you?” She stated and tried to picture the features of the man when it had gone away in just a glimpse that made her close her eyes and open them again to see clearly, but she didn’t.
The man who saved him is gone, but still, she’s hoping that someday they can meet again with the help of fate. She smiled and looked at the small waves at her feet.
“Thank you, you will not be forgotten.”
