Chapter 7 The Dream

649 Words
When I reach the hospital wing I reach out to Freya to see if she wants control. But she was sleeping, so I let her be. I walk in and see Maze has fallen asleep in the chair. I pick her up and carry her to my room. I lay her down on the bed and cover her with the blankets. I pull an extra blanket and pillow out of my closet. I walk over and put it on the couch.  I shower using the honey treasures shampoo and conditioner. I use honey and milk body wash. I use a fluffy white towel to dry off. I put on a pair of pj pants that have crescent moons and stars all over them. They are fluffy too. I then put on a shirt that has the moon cycle on it. I lay down checking my phone. There weren't any notifications on it. I set some alarms for 7:30. It’s 2:37. I know Freya will have control when we wake up. I’m not a fan of not being in control but I know she has a busy day ahead of her tomorrow. Closing my eyes I drift off into a deep dreamful sleep. In my dream I’m sitting by Cynthia's bed. There is a baby in a car seat next to me. I look over at the window, it is deadly quiet outside. It creams me out. That's when I realize Freya has control. That's when we hear a blood curdling howl. It's a horrible sound. That's when we started to hear more of them. They were battle crys.  We hear Alpha Klaus’s howl. It was power, a warning. Then we hear the howls of the guards and warriors start up. Their howls are pure. There is no death in it. They were long. After the howls the growls start. The baby started crying so I picked her up “shhhhh it’s gonna be okay Lilliana.” I try to soothe her.  The door slams open and 2 disgusting wolves walk in. One was a dark brown and their fur was knotted really badly. It was long. The other one was yellow and brown. It looked like he was once white. It was short and rough looking. Their teeth looked rotten. They tracked mud behind them. They lunged for the baby in my arms. But I turned my back on them and took the blow. I put the baby down on the bed with Cynthia.  I start to shift but am tackled before I can. I growl. I throw a punch and hit the brown one in the face. I push him off me as I try and shift again. This time I succeeded. I let out a powerful roar and they responded with a loud growl. I ran at them but another larger wolf joined the fight. This wolf was larger than the other two. His fur was matte black. It was knotted but it wasn’t as bad as the other fur. His eyes were blood red. I roared again trying to scare them off. But I was out numbered. They quickly threw me into the wall. The white one went for the baby and the brown one for Cynthia. The black wolf held me down and made me watch the others kill them. Then he bit down on my neck, breaking it, killing me. I woke up feeling panicked. I looked around to see I was in my room. That dream felt so real. It creeped me out. I checked the time to see it was 3:33. I feel waves of fear inside me and realize, Freya if awake and terrified. “Hey, it’s okay. It was just a dream.”  I tell her through our mindlink.  “But it felt so real. The feeling of loss. The pain. It felt like it happened to us.” “But it didn’t.” I reassure her. “Now let’s get some sleep.” Going back to sleep. This time it was a dreamless sleep.
