The Golden Wolf

Chapter 11 The Attack

“Wow, Gypsy is a really cool name.” I look up and my eyes are sharper. I can see stuff from a longer distance. I smell all the flowers from all around us. I see a pond and walk over to look at my reflection. 

There is a black wolf in the reflection. The trim around my eye is gold with a swirl. The tips-off my ears are gold. My long silky fur has tips of gold in some places. My tail is tipped with gold. There is a gold triskele on my left side. I look back at her after I see it. 

“With your power awakened early, you may find your mate earlier than your supposed to.” Says the Moon Goddess.

“Will he know we are mates?” I ask.

“Yes. You will feel extremely tired after my energy leaves your body. I suggest you rest.” the Goddess of the Moon says. “You will need to be careful of overexerting your body until your 18th birthday with your power. Now goodbye young one and be careful.”

With that, she waves her hand and I fall into comfortable darkness.

Freya’s pov

I arrive at Cynthia’s room and go in. She looks a lot better. I set Lilliana down on the floor next to me and look at the sky through the window. It was dark and stars were starting to shine bright. I hear a knock on the door and look up towards the door. 

“Come in,” I say.

“How's Lilliana doing?” Asks Amon.

“She is doing good. She is a very behaved pup.”

“If you are still in this pack on her 16th birthday will you help her with the shifting and finding a bottle because that's when her curse will awaken. Please,” he asks

“Of course I will.”

“She will be drawn to a bottle. Here is a journal that has been passed down on my sister’s mother’s side for a long time. It has information about genies that they’ve collected over centuries.” 

He hands me an old looking journal that has a brown leather cover. There is a leather strap holding it closed. There was a phoenix carved on the front cover. “I will take care of her, for as long as I can,” I tell him when we hear a blood-curdling howl. It was the same one from mine and Hope’s dream. 

I can feel Hope fight for control. I look over at Lilliana when I hear her start to cry. I pick her up as I hear Alpha Klaus’s howl. I try to calm her down. When the door slams open and a dark brown wolf and a yellow and light brown wolf are in the doorway growling. Hope struggles for control even harder. 

“Shift rouges,” Amon says using a dominating voice and aura.

The dark brown one shifts and the other one walks in front of him covering his lower half. “We come for the child’s life. The genie-wolf hybrid.”

Hope gets control pushing me back as Amon shifts into a dark blonde wolf. 

Hope’s pov

Growling he lunges for the rouge who is in his human form at the moment. But is blocked by the light brown and yellow one and they start fighting. 

“Give me the pup and we will leave.” 

“No, I will not sacrifice an innocent pup,” I growl. I put Lilliana next to Cynthia on the bed. Shifting I attack, and he shifts meeting me halfway. Growling I make sure to keep myself between the rogues and Lilliana and Cynthia. 

When I hear a growl to see a large matte black wolf with blood-red eyes. He has a scar across his left eye and rotten teeth. Using the moment distraction the dark brown wolf got a chance to sneak up behind me and pin me down. He has his teeth on the back of my neck and drags me out of the way.

Cynthia’s pov

I hear growling and yelping around me. I then hear the crying of a baby. Opening my eyes I pull out the artificial airway. That’s when I feel my bones snapping, forming my wolf form. I roll over onto my belly and stand. I had to jump off the bed because I was too big. I let out a growl.

Everyone turns to look at me. Freya looked at the bed and not seeing my human form began to panic. I mind link her saying, “Hey it's okay. I’m a black and gold wolf. No need to panic, I’ll explain everything later.” 

She just looks at me with her head c****d to the side. I look at the dark brown wolf pining my friend down and jump. But I’m tackled by a matte black wolf with red eyes. I’m fighting and winning when I hear a snap looking to where it came from. I see Freya’s tiger form limp in the brown wolf's mouth. I let out a whimper. Attacking the black one I notice a light brown and a dark blonde wolf fighting on the other side of the room. 

After a few minutes, I manage to make the black wolf pass out and run over to Freya. Attacking the brown one and killing him instantly. Shifting back to my human form I pull her into my lap crying.

“You can heal her.”

I look up realizing it was Gypsy, my wolf. “How?” 

“Cup her neck in your hands and imagine her neck healing and her coming back to life. The Goddess will allow you access to the power needed to bring her back to life.” She instructs me.

I do as she says and gold light emitted from my hands and seeps into her neck. After a couple of minutes, I hear a wheezing noise and look up to see the Blonde wolf with its teeth in the side of the light brown one, poking a hole in its lungs.

Going behind the hospital bed and shifting using the blanket there to cover himself. Picking up the baby from the bed he hums to her.

He comes over asking, “Is she alright?”

I growl. “Who are you.”

“My name is Amon I am the Beta of Galaxy Pack.”

“Why are you in my hospital room?”

“I was talking to Freya.”

“Whose baby is that?”

“My sisters but one of the orphans.”

I look at the baby who has now stopped crying and is sleeping. Then at Freya, as she takes a deep breath. I breathe out a sigh of relief. 

“How did you do that?” Amon asks.

“A gift from my wolf,” I said eyeing him. “Protect them, I’m going to join the fight.”

“But you just woke up from a coma.”

“I’m completely healed, do not worry.”

“I have a higher rank. I'd be better in the fight.”

Getting tired of him trying to keep me here. “I might be rankless in this pack but My wolf has powers and strength of an alpha. Just stay here. She will be asleep for a while and do not tell anyone.” I tell him. After shifting I ran out of the building towards the noise of the battle. 

Stopping along the tree line to the field where the battle is happening I scan for the alpha. Seeing his white and silver wolf was outnumbered I ran over there and started fighting. I was slightly larger than him.

After what seemed like forever the pack finally submitted, killed, knocked out, or scared away. 

The Alpha then looked at me growling. My scent changed to add in my wolf’s scent. I roll over to show my belly and neck in a submissive way. He gives a low growl meaning to shift.

Rolling over I shift into my human form covering my body with my arms. “Hello Alpha,” I say.

His eyes widen when he sees it's me. “You may shift back,” he says through the pack link.

I nod and shift back. Turning I head back to check on Freya. When I get there she is still sleeping. I shift and pick her up and go to my room. I lay her down on my bed and cover her up. Going into the bathroom to take a bath I look in the mirror to see a bunch of scratches all over my body. But they are healing fast.

I run a hot bubble bath. To relax after a few minutes it feels like all the energy leaves my body. Must be what the Moon Goddess was talking about. I wash up and get out after I dry up I put on some fuzzy PJs. 

When I hear a knock on the door. I go over and answer the door saying. “Hello.”

“Ms. Morningstar the alpha would like to see you.” says the omega.

“Tell him I will be there in the morning. I am completely exhausted.” I tell him and close the door. Walking over to my bed I crawl to the other side of the bed from Freya “Good night.” I hear Gypsy say.

“Night,” I say right before I fall asleep.
