Kian’s grip on my arm was like a vise as he pulled me along the dimly lit hallway, his men flanking us with weapons at the ready. The air crackled with tension, the group moving with a sense of purpose and unspoken dread. “Keep moving and stay close,” Kian rumbled in a low, serious voice. “We’re getting out of this place right now.” I nodded mutely, too frightened to do anything but obey. The narrow corridor felt claustrophobic, the shadows pressing in as we hustled towards our unknown destination.
