Elena's POV "If Francesco is my real father, why is he trying to kill me?" I asked. "Kill you? Francesco would never think of that," my mother defended. "You said it yourself; he has his bad sides." "That excludes wanting to get you killed," she added. Francesco walked in immediately, and my mom and I greeted him with silence. There was no way we would discuss this with him in the room—it was too dangerous. "Elena, what you saw—" "Save it, Francesco."
