Chapter 2

Leas POV

The days pass quickly and we travel to the Kings territory today. I woke up early, even before the sun. I woke up by a dream. It felt surreal but at the same time real.

I was standing out in a clearing in the woods. I knew it well, I've been there many times before, in reality and in a my dreams. It's also the place my father was killed. The place bringed back many memories and I started to cry. I walked around and my eyes searched for something or someone. I could suddenly hear a rattle behind me and I turned around.

A giant wolf, white as snow, stood in front of me and watched me. I could se my reflection in her eyes. I walked towards her and her to me. It was Blade. I tried to talk to her but no words escaped my lips. Blade looked behind me and I could feel the energy from another person. I turned around and before me was a woman. Yet again the Moon Goddess stood before me.

She was wearing a long, white dress. Her hair was loose and embraced her face. She smiled and said in a delicate voice: "Come to me child."

I felt my legs move before I told them. The Moon Goddess embraced me into a hug and caressed my cheek.

"You have come a long way, Lea. It's almost over. I'm proud of you." I smiled and pressed my cheek against her warm hand.

"Will you do something for me?" Her voice was fragile and almost a whisper. I tried to answer but still no voice. She chuckled at my frustration.

"I'm sorry dear. Only I can speak in this world." I smiled back at her. I nodded at her question before.

"I need you to hide your true identity from the King. He can not know who you are or what you can do. Can you do that for me?" I frowned, and couldn't quite understand her request. I looked at Blade and she nodded. I looked back at the Moon Goddess and nodded my head too.

The Moon Goddess smiled brightly and kissed my cheek. She whisperede in my ear and I closed my eyes.

"Thank you, my child. You will be rewarded. Remember Lea, always trust your wolf. She knows the truth and protects you from harm." Before I could open my eyes again, she was gone and I was in my bed again. I have been trying to understand her request ever since.

I get out of the bed and decides to take a bath. The warm water in the tub caress my body. I relax and think about the Moon Goddess' request.

'Why can't I tell the King who I really am?'

'I don't know, Lea. But I can feel something is changing. You have to trust her.'

'I do. I just don't understand.'

'I know, but you will soon enough.'

A knock on my bedroom door, interrupt my thoughts.

"Lea, we have to go. The car is ready." Cains voice is impatience. He knows I don't care much for time schedules but he also know that it's not well-seen being late for the alliance meeting with the King which is tomorrow.

I get up from the tub and wrap a towel around my hair and don't bother to put one around my body. I open the door and Cains face turns pink. He look up in the ceiling making me laugh.

"Oh come on, you have seen it all already!" The blush on his face grows bigger and he's fighting a battle trying not to look at my naked body. He looks in my eyes and I can see the lust. I bite down on my lip and that's enough.

Cain lifts me up and is quickly by my bedside. He slams me down in the bed and take of his shirt. I enjoye my view and run my tongue over my lips, making them wet. I can feel the lust between my legs and Cain can smell my arousal. He's not taking his eyes off me for a second.

We're sitting in the car on our way to the Kings territory. It's a long way, first on the road and then in the air. We will arrive in 6 hours. My delta, Kion, is in charge at home. My mind is cut of by Cains rough voice.

"Maybe. Put I do indeed enjoy the sex." I give him a wink. He grins and his shiney, green eyes is back to normal. We made a deal a year ago. We could have s*x with eachother but if one of us found our mate, we would stop immediately. Cain hasn't found his mate yet and my 18 birthday is 1 week away. So we are enjoying eachother as long as we can. I don't think Cain is my mate, even though I would love for him to be.

'He's not, Lea. You already know that.'

'I know. But a girl can dream, Blade.'

'I think the Moon Goddess has someone else in mind for you.'

'Do you know something I don't?'

'Don't worry about it, Lea.'

And just like that, she retreats to the back of my mind. She gets on my nerves, sometimes. The silence took over the car, Cain is writing something down on his tablet and I'm looking at the forrest running by the window.

I have a lot of territory. Half the pack was killed in the rouge attack, but I have managed to triple the size of it, making it the biggest Lycan pack in the world. We keep mainly to ourselves, not interfering with other packs problems. We can defend ourselves and that's enough. We don't seek war or stop it unless it's knocking on our front door.

That made me think of the Moon Goddess request.

"Cain, can you do me a favor?" I ask. Cain looks up from the tablet, making eye contact with me.

"Of course, Alpha Blade." He make a lustrous smirk.

"It's not that kind of a favor, you perve!". Cain laughs at my sour face.

"I'm sorry, what is it then?". I pause for a second, making him concerned.

'Are you okay?'

I look at him with suprise. He never let me read his mind.

When I got that power, I told him to get a witch that could teach the entire pack how to block me out from their mind. I weren't comfortable knowing all their thoughts all the time.

"I'm fine. I had another dream." This got him on the edge of his seat.

"What did she say this time?" Cain knows my dreams mean things, important things. Whenever the Moon Goddess wants to talk to me, it's through my dreams. It was the same thing when she gave me the power to read minds and when she told me I was the bridge between life and death.

"I can't tell the King who I am or what I can do. He can't know I'm the descendants of the Moon Goddess or that I'm an Alpha." Cain looks confused, probably just as much as myself. I explain exactly what the Moon Goddess told me. He's trying to find the right words but I can see him struggle.

"I need you to switch roles with me. While we are there, you are the Lycan Alpha Blade of the Blood Moonshine pack. And I will be your beta. Okay, Cain?" Cain looks at me with compassion and smiled.

"Of course I will, but do you think they will buy it? I don't have the aura of an Alpha." He replies, making me smile.

"You are a Lycan, Cain. You have more power than a normal Alpha. They will buy it." I smirk.

Cain smile but his look changes when he realized he have to punish me if I don't respect him, at least in front of the others.

"I have to punish you if you're being disrespectful, Lea. You know that, right?" His voice is a whisper.

"I know, but try not to enjoy it to much." I grin.
