Chapter 5

1145 Words
Kings POV I slam the door to my bedroom behind me with fury, leaving Delta John and Delta Marc in the corridor. 'Who the hell do she think she is?!' 'Calm down, Nathan.' 'No, I will not calm down, Jeremiah! She disrespected me in front of my men and why are you not mad?!' 'She will learn.' Her disobedience lights a fire of fury in me. How did she dare to talk to me like that, I'm her king! I can still feel her skin against my hands. I close my eyes, reliving the scene in my head. I grabbed her throat, and put just enough pressure to affect her breathing. Her scent was distracting, I almost felt the need to breath it in, enjoy it. It was sweet like fruit. Her breast was filling out her shirt beautifully and her short skirt stopped just beneath her bottom, which made me want to droll but I controlled myself. She would learn to obey me or I would kill her. No one disrespects me without a punishment. I opened my eyes. 'She will learn, trust me.' 'I don't know about that, but I will not spare her life again.' 'Fine.' He growls with fury and brakes the connection. Why is he suddenly upset with me, what the hell did I do to him?! I walk to my bar, making me a nice glass of bourbon. I drink it all, feeling the warmth when the liquor run down my throat. I refill the glass and decides to go to my office. It's on the same floor as Alpha Blade and her. I mind link my Beta, Damon. 'Damon, go to Alpha Blades room and get his Beta a room of her own.' Yes, Alpha. I brake the link. The alliances meeting with the other Alphas is tomorrow. Hopefully she will not make any fuss. I take my glass and my computer and walk out in the corridor. I'm living on the 10' floor alone. When I find my mate she will move in to my room. There's 4 rooms on this floor. I used to live in the room next to this when I was a kid. My parents always wanted me and my sister close by. When I took over the throne, my parents moved to the Betas floor, thinking I would want my privacy when I found my mate. I haven't found her yet though. I take the elevator to the 8' floor. I walk down the corridor when I hear it. Her giggle. It sounds like angels singing and is oddly familiar. She turns the corner with Damon and she looks straight at me. My eyes is dark with fury and Damon gets the message. I walk in to my office and close the door. Damon mind linked me. 'Lea's in her room now, Alpha.' 'Thank you, Damon.' I cut the line. That's her name? Lea. I tasted the name in my mouth. I continue reading about the new rouge attacks, when Damon enter my office. I can smell her scent on him the second he enters. "Why do you smell like her?" I frown. Damon stops in his steps, turning around so I can't see his face. "Like who? Lea?" He faces me again and smile. I jump up from my chair and push him up the wall. He's shocked by my outburst and so am I. I can feel the fury coming from Jeremiah. "What the hell, Nathan? What are you doing?" Damon holds his hands up in desperation, and I back away. "Don't go near her, do you hear me?" I point my finger at him and Damon is quick to nod at my order. "I won't. Jesus, take it easy, Nathan." He chuckles and I raise my eyebrows in surpise. But he's right, I don't know what got into me, she's not my mate. I give him a apologizing smile. ---- After a lot of work, I give Damon the rest of the day off. He looks tired from all the training sessions I have put him in charge off. The clock is well over 6 in the afternoon and I go to the kitchen to get some food. When I get to the kitchen, I can hear Alpha Blade and his beta discuss something. I try to listen but I only get one word before they stop talking: Witch. I enter the room. They are standing close, a little to close in my opinion. She has swifted clothes and is wearing a blue sundress, it compliments her navy eyes nicely. "Good evening, my King." Alpha Blade says. His beta on the other hand just stands there, not saying a word. I can feel the anger growing in my chest. I walk over to the fridge and take out a sandwich. I take a bit and I can hear a growl cooming from her mouth. "Did you just growl at me? Do you have zero respect for the ones above you?" I face her, looking in her navy eyes. They are full off darkness like mine. "You talk about respect, but you don't respect anyone else? Respect is earned not just a careless word." She spit the words out with anger. The anger roars from my chest, both startling her and Alpha Blade. I push her up against the fridge. 'Nathan please, calm down!' 'No.' 'Nathan, don't hurt her. We need her.' I back away. Her eyes is wide and she's just as shocked as I am. "I'm sorry." The words is only a whisper, but I know she could hear them. I turn around and storm out the kitchen and to my room. I try to calm my anger but she makes me furious. Jeremiah was happy. 'Thank you for listening.' 'Don't mention it. But you do owe me an explanation and it better be good.' 'I can't give you much. I just know she is important and we need her. She will help you and soon, Nathan.' 'That's it?' 'Yes. But you should know this - I can't feel her wolf.' 'That's weird. You can feel everyones wolf.' Jeremiah shrugs but I know that's something rare. Normally wolfs can feel eachother and some even communicate. But if Jeremiah can't feel her wolf, does that mean she don't have one? I decide to take a shower and head to bed. I mind link Lea. 'I want you to meet me in my office tomorrow 9 o' clock.' 'Why?' I can practically hear her eyes rolling. 'It's an order, Lea.' 'So now you know my name. It only seems fair if I knows your too.' She is incorrigible. 'Fine. My name is Nathan.' 'Pleasure to meet you, Nathan. Goodnight. ' She ends the mind link. Of course she did, she has to have the final word.
