Rhys POV I felt her before I smelt or heard her. The faint scent of her perfume, something floral and faintly citrus, crawled into my lungs first. Then the quiet and soft creak of the floorboards and the door followed. And finally, her voice. “It was you?” Her voice trembled with both anger and accusation. I didn’t turn immediately.
