The Malibu morning was supposed to be perfect.
The curtains were barely open, letting in just enough sunlight to make the room glow gold. The ocean’s lazy waves outside were like a soundtrack, soft and steady. Nara was lying against me, warm, her skin pressed to mine, her hair spread over my arm like the most expensive silk I could never afford to lose.
And yeah… we were both naked.
She tilted her head, looking up at me like I was the only man in the world, which, for the record, I am — at least in this bed.
