Nick’s POV
The evening air hit me the moment we stepped back into the hotel lobby. I was exhausted, my body aching in places I didn’t even know existed, and all I wanted was to crash on that bed, maybe order some fries, and just sleep for the next seven hours straight. But of course… fate had other plans.
The moment the hotel room door clicked shut behind us, Jane spun around like a wildcat, threw her arms around my neck, and slammed her lips against mine like her life depended on it.
I swear my eyes widened so much I could feel them about to pop out of their sockets.
