[Carnelia] We return to the surface in a blink, taking our final forms and flashing to the surface as insubstantial beings of air and light. I say my farewells and promise to find him later tonight to continue our discussion. My mind is still swirling as I readjust to being solid again. Returning from my fourth form to my second still feels a bit disconcerting--I don’t think it will ever feel natural to me because it involves too much faith. But at least now I know that once I’ve gone insubstantial, I can go back to being me again and not have to worry about becoming one with the universe forever.
