ELARA ASHFORD
How did he arrive at the forest so quickly? Why was he there at the exact moment of the attack?
And the other werewolf... the one who fought to protect me... who was he?
The sound of the music fades away gradually, as if it's too distant to reach me.
I take a deep breath, trying to maintain balance while the others hold me up high. My hands begin to tremble, and my eyes, though trying to focus on the audience ahead, continue searching for Rowan.
He’s connected to this somehow. The symbol on his necklace... a full moon.
What does it mean? Could it be possible that he...
I almost lose my balance as I blink and force myself back to the present.
The girls are ready for the big finale, and I need to prepare for the jump.
They grip my legs firmly, and with closed eyes, I gather courage and launch myself into the air. For a moment, the world spins around me before I land on my back, gently caught by my teammates. The audience applauds, but I feel distant, as if I’m somewhere else. My mind is too busy with the questions I can’t ignore.
The tryout finally ends, and the results will be announced after classes.
I look around, trying to spot Rowan, but he’s already gone.
With a deep sigh, I walk to the library.
I need answers. There, surrounded by silence and the smell of old books, I begin researching werewolves.
Several legends appear on the computer screen: grotesque images and stories about creatures roaming under the full moon. However, none of the descriptions match what I saw in the forest.
I keep searching, typing in keywords, until something catches my attention.
The symbol of a full moon appears in many images and texts.
I frown as I read that the moon is sacred to werewolves and that it’s under its light that they transform and reveal their true nature.
Suddenly, the connection to Rowan seems obvious. A chill runs down my spine as I touch my shoulder, where a mark, almost like a moon, is etched into my skin. Only I could hear the werewolves, only I was called by them that night.
I’m engrossed in the research, and soon I will find information about werewolves’ weaknesses.
Silver. Silver can kill them.
I jot everything down in my notebook, from their weaknesses to their strange behavior around human blood.
When the bell rings, I pack up my notebook and run through the corridors.
A fixed idea takes hold of me: I need to test something.
I open my locker and grab a ring I’ve always worn. I never paid much attention to it, but now it seems crucial.
The ring is made of silver. I put it in my pocket and head to the next class, where Rowan will be the teacher again.
I enter the room and sit with the other students.
My mind is full of questions, trying to connect all the dots.
Then, he walks in. His presence is overwhelming.
"Good morning, everyone. I’m the new biology teacher, my name is Rowan Langston. I know many of you lost important friends yesterday, so today’s class will be simpler."
He starts writing on the board, but I can’t take my eyes off him.
He looks so human, so normal. How is this possible?
Suddenly, a paper ball hits my arm.
I opened the crumpled note and read Oliver’s cruel message.
Good luck with your challenge, maybe Professor Langston is attracted to virgins.
Anger rises within me. I’m about to do something when Rowan’s deep voice echoes through the room.
My breath falters.
"Miss Ashford? It seems my class isn’t interesting enough for you. Would you like to explain to all of us?"
I freeze for a moment, feeling everyone’s eyes on me, especially his.
"I’m sorry, Professor Langston. I’m sure you would explain it much better than I would.", I respond, trying to stay calm.
Oliver laughs, but Rowan interrupts him.
"And you, Mr. Quinn? Perhaps you’d like to join Miss Ashford and continue my lesson?"
His voice is laced with irritation, and Oliver immediately falls silent.
Professor Rowan looks at me with irritation.
"Let this be a lesson for you. If you interrupt my class again, you’ll be in detention after school."
He turns away, and I close my eyes, taking a deep breath.
When the bell finally rings, I breathe a sigh of relief, ready to leave, but his voice stops me.
"Miss Ashford, I’d like to talk to you."
Once everyone leaves, I’m alone in the room with Rowan. He’s sitting at the desk, wearing incredibly sexy glasses.
My God.
He holds the test I took, and my heart races.
"I must admit, I expected much more from one of the top students in the class."
He blinks at the low grade.
"I’m sorry, I’ve just been really distracted."
"Distraction is affecting your performance. Don’t let that happen."
"Thank you for the advice."
He stands up, walks around the desk, and sits on it, close to me.
I grip my books tightly, remembering I need to test the silver on him.
"Professor Langston? Can I tell you something?"
He takes off his glasses before crossing his arms in front of his body, looking more serious.
"Yes?"
"The truth is, I’m having a lot of trouble learning some parts of the biology and anatomy material, and it’s really bothering me. I wanted to ask if you could help me with that.", I say, feeling my face heat under his gaze.
"Are you referring to private lessons, Miss Ashford?"
I nod, biting my lips, noticing his eyes trailing down my cheerleader uniform.
He moves closer, and I turn my body, feeling the desk behind me.
Rowan is inches from me.
"Do you need my private lessons, or is this an attempt to seduce me?", he raises an eyebrow, and my eyes widen.
"I really need them."
"I don’t think so, Elara. Your grades have always been good. I’ve seen your records."
I try to think of something, but his voice interrupts my thoughts.
"You won’t convince me so easily. Sit on the desk, Elara."
"What?"
"I think you heard me perfectly. Sit on the desk now."
"What if someone comes in?"
"I won’t repeat myself."
I obey, sitting on the desk, feeling my skirt ride higher up my legs.
He takes my books and sets them aside, his hands now on my thighs.
"Very well, if you need an anatomy lesson, I can do that.", his voice is husky, and I bite my lips, feeling his fingers touch my skin.
Rowan brings his mouth close to my ear, and I feel his fingers sliding up my body to my chest.
"Here we have the heart, responsible for pumping blood throughout your body..."
I remain silent, breathing heavily, as his closeness sends shivers down my spine.
His fingers move lower, and I tremble at his touch.
"Here we have the lungs, without which you couldn’t breathe..."
"I think I...", I try to say, but my eyes widen when he whispers in my ear.
"Stay quiet and just listen. I’m giving you the lesson you wanted, Elara..."
Jesus Christ.
I blink my eyes, trying to close my legs, but he puts his knee between them.
"Spread your legs wider for me..."
I glanced at the door before doing it.
I can feel his breath against my face, our mouths are dangerously close again.
My heart pounds in my chest as I gasp. Feeling his hands sliding up my thighs, I open my mouth wider, bracing myself on the desk behind me.
"This is my favorite part and the most interesting. Right here, between your legs, is the part with many functions..."
"Professor Rowan...", I whisper, biting my lips as I feel his fingers touching my panties under my skirt.
I’ve never felt this before.
"What, Elara? You like teasing me like a demon, don’t you?", I gasp at his words.
I remember the challenge and moan softly as his fingers rub against my soaked panties.
"Tell me what you’re feeling, Elara. Tell me how you feel when I touch you here."
"I like it...", I whisper, feeling my face flush.
He blinks, smiling at me.
"The human body is an amazing thing, isn’t it?"
He threatens to pull his hand away, but I quickly hold onto it.
"More, please, professor."
His eyes seem to darken, and he looks like he’s barely controlling himself.
I need to sleep with him and stop my reputation from being ruined.
I touch his neck, feeling his fingers pushing my panties aside.
"Don’t stop, professor..."
"You’re like the devil dragging me to hell, Elara...", he groans, and seconds later, his mouth meets mine.
For a moment, I don’t care if someone walks into the room and sees us like this, but I can’t pull away from him.
"This is how a man should touch you...", he murmurs against my lips, biting them hard.
I grip his shoulders, tilting my head back as I feel his mouth move down my neck.
"I know what you really want. You want to destroy my sanity, Elara"
"I don’t care if you’re a virgin. If you want, I can rip this skirt off and show you how a man should touch you and more...”
My God.
Say yes, Elara.
His fingers continue touching me, and I feel myself getting wetter.
His mouth moves down my chest, almost pulling my top aside to suck on my breasts.
Jesus, I’m doing this with my teacher!
Before I can do anything, he removes his hand from my panties, and I watch as he licks his fingers.
I glance down, seeing his hard c**k pressing against his pants.
"Answer me, Elara. Tell me what you want."
He presses his body against mine, and I'm ready to say yes, but my eyes widen when the bell rings, signaling the end of class.
The students are now in the hallways.
He quickly pulls away from me, and I fix my clothes before getting up from the desk. I grab my books and run to the door, but a sound makes me turn my head.
My silver ring fell to the ground near him.
I lock my gaze on Rowan as he looks at the small object on the floor.
My eyes widen as I realize I'll get my confirmation now.
If he doesn't touch the silver, he's one of the werewolves from the attack.
My mind screams for him to pick it up.
"I believe this belongs to you, Miss Ashford."
I watch as he picks up the ring and looks at me strangely.
He took it, and nothing happened to him.
"Yes, thank you."
He looks at the ring, analyzing it, before raising his head and looking at me.
"It's a beautiful ring; it seems old and made of..."
"Silver.", I say it firmly, and he blinks.
His eyes fix on something on my shoulder, and he seems confused when he sees my birthmark.
He looks unsettled.
"How did you get that mark, Elara?", he asks seriously, and I shrug.
"I've always had it."
I turn, grabbing the ring and opening the classroom door, but his voice catches me by surprise.
"You think I'm one of them, don't you? A werewolf?"
"There's no other explanation for what happened yesterday. You weren't in the forest anymore, and how did you get there so fast?"
I look at him, and he stands there, staring at me.
"There are things you don't know, and it's better this way to ensure your safety."
"What are you telling me?"
"It's safer if you stay away from me, Elara. Away from me and the forest at night..."
The students enter, and I quickly leave, determined not to lose this challenge.
I still have to sleep with Professor Rowan.
