--- Tavon --- I wake up in a dark room underneath thin, white bed sheets that I can barely see from the light which shines through creases in the nearby doorframe. Someone pulls away the sheets covering my sweaty, broken body, and I feel cold air graze against the cuts along my skin. I can barely breathe. It takes all the effort that I can muster just to keep my eyes open for a moment. Each time I open them, I feel something dragging me back down into a deep sleep. “You’re not supposed to be awake,” I hear a woman’s voice say to me. “Not yet.” She covers my face with her hand, and I fall unconscious for an undetermined amount of time. When I try to open my eyes again, the woman covers them instinctively, and I can’t summon the energy to stop her. I can’t move, even though I know more
