---- Tavon ---- Hadrian and I cross back into reality, where the entire room has caved in and is filled with smoldering debris. I look around at the charred remains of the tenth floor, where I notice chairs and wooden desks covered in wild flames that start to spread throughout the building. The windows around us are blasted outward, alongside the crooked deformations of walls bent outward like cracked shells of armor. Hadrian and I stand atop rubble that consists of broken glass, concrete chunks, and warped steel several stories below what was once the office above us. Smoke fills the burning room; the floor at our feet contorts into a cracked dip that extends to the next story down, and, up above, there’s a crater-sized hole which leads far up into the highest reaches of the tower. “
