CHAPTER 2- The Life Saver

SCREECHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I heard a sharp screeching of the tyres of the car with a loud horn. I opened my eyes and saw that the car just stopped before me. The distance between the car and me was just about 2 steps. I was relieved that I was safe.

I looked and saw a man coming out of the car who was cursing and fuming in anger.

"Can't you see, young lady, you could've died today, if you really wanna die then at least not my car please", the man fumed and screamed.

"I'm sorry sir but-,

I saw the men coming in my direction, I got panicked and started running away.

"But what?", I could hear the man shouting but I paid no attention and kept running towards my hone.

I was on some unfamiliar street, it looked like a rich colony though. I was far beyond exhausted, I was sweating bad and was breathless. My pace was getting slow and I felt dizzy. I wonder, maybe I lost a lot of calories today, no wonder I'm gonna take leave for a week now from the gym. I tried to search for my phone, I wonder why didn't 911 worked.

Oh and then the thought struck me, that I gave my phone to that girl. I mentally slapped myself and kept on running.

My vision was getting blur when I saw the back of a man.

"Mister, help please-, was the last thing I managed to say before feeling everything turn into black.

UNKNOWN MAN'S POV

I was taking an evening walk before dinner with my dog today. It was nice weather today. The street was empty and quiet, just how I like it to be. I was busy in thoughts when heard footsteps and sounds of heavy breathing. I halted on my steps and heard a woman saying something.

I turned around and saw a woman lying on the ground on her stomach.

I turned her around and saw that she was someone with whom I'm familiar.

I wonder how did she get into this condition.

I still clearly remember when I saw her for the first time. She looked so innocent but still how confidently she was answering in the interview.No woman had ever left me so entranced in less than 5 minutes. I couldn't wait to get to know her better to see what her personality was like because if she was half as amazing inside as she was on the outside, I think I'd have to marry her.

And today when she appeared at my office, I don't know what happened but I was so mesmerized by her beauty. She looked extremely gorgeous in that pink shirt, the skirt she was wearing hugged her curves perfectly. Her hair laid perfectly on her shoulders and she smelled like vanilla and roses. The way she was looking at me through her green orbs got me mesmerised, I was getting drawn towards her beauty just like that. I was in some 3D world until Mr Wang and cleared his throat and got our attention. I felt embarrassed for being so off guard but immediately straightened my posture.

I don't know what happens to me around her. I shall probably call the doctor and take her to my house. She seems exhausted and pale.

Author's POV

The unknown man picked her up in bridal style and took her to his home.

TIME SKIP

She was lying on the unfamiliar bed looking at her surroundings to know where she was. She was trying to get up from the bed when the door opened revealing a familiar man.

AMY's POV

I was beyond confused about how I ended up here and what happened.

"Why am I here and where I am?", I asked Mr Felix.

" Well, I was out when you called me out and I saw you lying unconscious on the ground ", he said.

" Oh", was all I could say and took time to process things.

"I should go, thanks for the help", I said as I got up to leave.

"WAIT----"

I turned around to see him taking his car keys and wearing a jacket.

"Let me drop you, it's not safe out there", he said

" No need sir, I'll manage"

"I'm not asking you, I'm telling you, and I don't want to hear any kind of disapproval", he said and went out of the room.

I sighed.

Since I didn't have any choice rather than accepting the ride, I decided to let him drive me home. I got out and saw him sitting in his classic black Bugatti while tapping the steering wheel. I hurried and got into the car.

" Wear the seat belt", he commanded.

I was trying to wear the seatbelt but wasn't able to wear it properly.

Soon I felt breath on my neck and his face inches away from mine. I felt a sudden rush of blood to my cheeks and ears. My heart was thumping loud and I was damn sure he could hear that. His hands secured the belt and he backed off.

"That's how you wear a seatbelt", he turned on the engine and started driving.

I was still all heated up and red due to the closeness. It's not like I never interacted with men or I was a virgin but I still don't know why whenever he is around me, I feel all nervous and butterflies in my stomach. I know he's an alpha , his rain and wooden scent makes me believe he's an alpha.

I told him the directions and in few minutes we were at my house. I got out and thanked him while bowing to him. He just nodded and drove off.

I sighed thinking about all the events of the day. A hectic day indeed. I was gonna open the door when I remembered about the girl and that my phone is still with her. I decided I'll just call from Mia's phone on my phone to find out the girl and my phone.

I entered and saw a devastated Mia crying on the floor while talking on the phone to someone. I felt guilty somehow and went towards her.

Her expression was unreadable as there was happiness, anger and grief mixed in that. She looked relieved and hugged me right not letting me breathe.

" You know.......I was....so.....worried...a-about..you", she said while whimpering.

"It's all ok Mia, now, I am here ok, let's get to sleep and I'll tell you about everything tomorrow, okay", I said and wiped her tears.

"O-okay, how are you, are you hurt or anything, did someone kidnapped you?", she barged me with these questions.

" I'm okay and something happened on my way home", I took a breath and said, "I'll tell you later okay, hmm?"

"Yeah, let's get you changed and I'll prepare something to eat", she said and got up and made her way to the kitchen.

I got up and went to the bathroom to get freshened up.

I turned on the shower and felt the hot water flowing through my body. The steamed liquid calmed the nerves and muscles of my body. I was unknowingly feeling so relaxed while touching myself.....
