CHAPTER 16- I don't wanna lose Mia

Amy's POV

The days went like this. Amy changed a lot of ways in her routine. She made herself used to be perfect. Everything was controlled, so systemized, just robotic. Every day had the same routine.

Though there was a lot of work in the company due to the deal. The employees worked hard and harder with the motive to get good remuneration. Well, who doesn't wants a good remuneration package?

It's been almost two months now since she joined the company. Mia and Jake went nice, they have been engaged a month ago.

Amy's POV

We are having breakfast and today Jake also joined us.

But there's something unusual about Mia's behavior.

She's being a bit quieter than earlier and also. I'm worried because she is pregnant with two live growing inside her and I can't risk this. No one knows about this except Mia and me as she said that she is gonna reveal this to Jake on his birthday which is after two days. she's two weeks pregnant right now.

I still remember the day she told me that she was pregnant.

FLASHBACK

Mia and Amy were sitting abd chatting in the garden.

"Hey Mia, it's sunny you wanna have some juice", Amy asked.

"Sure"

Amy went inside the kitchen and came back with two glasses of lemonade. It was a sunny day and she thought that lemonade would be the best for this day.

"Here", Amy said and handed tbe drink to Mia.

After some time Mia started feeling uneasy. She felt something strange stirring in her stomach. She felt like throwing up. Mia kept hand on her mouth and went inside the washroom. Amy saw how she ran so she followed Mia inside. She saw Mia throwing up so she kept her hair aside and rubbed her back.

"How are you?", Amy asked.

"Kinda uneasy, this happened yesterday too", Mia said.

"Mia, are you ....ummm..you know", Amy had a feeling that Mia was pregnant seeing her symptoms, it was very clear that she might be pregnant.

"I don't know Amy, can you get me a test kit?"

"Sure, have some water, I'll be back soon take care"

Amy took the car keys nad immediately went to the chemist. To say honestly she was more than excited. She was ready to welcome a new member in her family and become an aunt.

She bought the test kit and immediately got back home. Handling the kit to Mia she cheered her up.

"What's the result?", Amy asked.

Mia showed the pregnancy strip to Amy. Seeing the two lines, she excitedly went to Mia and embraced her into a bone crushing hug.

"OMGGGGGGGGGGGG, I'm gonna be an aunt, I'm so happyyyyyyyy", Amy said and did a happy dance. She looked happier than anyone right now.

"I'm so happy Amy but you know I'll tell this to Jake next week on his birthday. He always wanted to be a father and this is probably the best gift", Mia said.

"DEFINITELY....DAMN I'M GONNA BE AN AUNT....THIS NEEDS A CELEBRATION", she shouted.

"but not now next week and till then it's a secret"

"Okay Miss surprise, aur ehm shall I say soon to be Mrs. Jake"

I am the really thankful for this golden gift. She went to the doctor after that and took an ultrasound. That's when we came to know that my sister was a gonna be a mother to twins. Smiling I started having my good again while thinking that there's something unusual.

They are all chatting and talking but I can't keep my mind away from the fact that there's something unusual.

I don't know why but there's this unusual feeling, a feeling that something is wrong or is gonna happen. There's this feeling of being lost and empty.

I never felt this way but ever since I saw changes in Mia I started feeling like this.

"Why aren't you having anything, Amy?"

I snapped out of my thoughts immediately. I peered up and saw Mia looking at me with an expecting gaze.

"huh", I stared at them.

"Amy she asked why aren't you having anything, look at your bowl you were just stirring it, and zoning out", Jake said.

They both are looking at me making me feel awkward and nervous. I cleared my thoughts and throat and thought about a story to tell them.

"Nothing Jake you know my boss, he gives me a lot. of work and I'm just tired and restless from so many days."

They nodded their head while completely buying the statement. I drew a breath and started eating.

There's wrong with Mia, she looks so pale and weaker than earlier too. I have to know she is important and delicate. Maybe she behaves like a mom, but believe me, she is delicate, needs to be taken care of.

She's hiding something from me and I need to know. I don't wanna imagine but her health is making me worried and I already imagined the worst scenarios. I hope it's alright and nothing like what I thought.

I can't lose her at all costs.

We all had our breakfast and I helped Mia cleaning the dishes. Jake was sitting on the couch watching t.v. The thoughts kept interrupting me.

AMY's POV

I was cleaning the table when I hear a loud thud. It was from the kitchen. I immediately ran inside and saw Mia lying on the floor with blood oozing out of her. This can't happen. God can't be so cruel. Nothing will happen to the babies.

"JAKEEEEEEEEEEEEE, COME FAST......", I screamed at the top of my lungs.

I bent down and tried to pick her up.

" What happened? Mia, wake up...", Jake said.

"Let's take her to the hospital quick bring the car keys Amy", He said and picked her up.

I got the car keys and started the engine. I drove as fast as could. No, nothing will happen to her. She'll be fine, I can't let anything happen to her. No, not at any cost.

We reached the hospital and immediately took her to the emergency. I'll do anything to save, even tho if I have to use my werewolf powers.

" Someone, please call the doctor", Jake said as he kept Mia on the stretcher.

Some nurses and a doctor came towards us.

"Nurse, prepare the OT, patient got a head injury", the doctor said.

They took her to the OT.

" I'll go fill the forms", Jake said.

We both are currently waiting outside of the OT right now as the doctor is checking her right now.

The light turned off and the doctor came out of the room. We went towards him, as he removed his mask and said,

"Well, the patient got a head injury as maybe she fainted, we took some tests and reports will be coming in an hour, you can meet her after she wakes up....We still have to do some tests so after that would be suitable for you both to meet the patient."
