CHAPTER 11- Chances

Amy rushed out of the office. It would be a lie if she wasn't worried about her job. She reached the lift and pressed the button. She knew Felix had really bad anger issues and always wanted perfection in his work. Ivy told her everything about his habits and nature.
She kept rubbing her nails and digging them in her skin. One of her habits she does when she is nervous.
The lift came and she got inside it. Pressing the 4th floor she tried to calm herself down. Taking heavy and deep breaths she tried to fix her make-up which got ruined due to crying.
Tapping her foot on the floor she waited for lift to reach the floor. The lift reached and she got out.
Hurriedly walking towards the department she reached the office. She made her way towards the head's office and knocked on the door.
"Come in", she heard it from inside the cabin.
The man turned his head and he was Sam, Amy didn't knew he was the head so she had surprise written evident on her face.
"Oh Hi Amy..You here? How may I help you?", Sam asked her keeping his files on the table.
"Hi Sam, I mean sir, actually I wanted the copies of the files which your department wanted to get signed by the sir"
"Oh sure, please have a seat but may I know the reason?" , he asked.
He directed her towards the couch and gave her a glass water. She gulped down the water and said, "Yeah, actually due to my mistake the files got ruined and he needs to sign them now"
Nervousness took over her, she feared about his reaction.
"It's okay, no worries , you can take the files".
She surprised the way he was so calm and bright , Sam was so nice and humble. In her eyes he was an angel.
She took the files from both the departments and headed to his office.
She got in his office and saw him standing infront of the window.
"I got the files sir, you can sign them", she said.
"Keep them on my table and don't make a mistake", he said.
"I'm really sorry Sir for my mistake, it's just I was nervous and that happened by mistake, I promise to never repeat this"
"Maybe you'll not repeat this but what if you commit some other mistake"
"You'll not recieve any complain and I'll not give you a chance to complain again"
"I'll give you three chances and after that you'll be fired, you used one chance already two more left"
"I'll be more keen towards my work"
"Okay you can go and prepare for the meeting, make sure to write down everything"
"Thank you sir" , she said and took her leave from his office.
She started preparing for the meeting, Ivy told her everything she needs to prepare.
She knew she can't afford making mistakes
