CHAPTER 14: The lunch pt.2

Amy's POV

The restaurant is mesmerizing. I loved the concept, no wonder I never saw such a masterpiece. It is fascinating and exotic.

Ok, amy don't forget you are here with your cold-ass rude boss.

I straightened up my posture and started looking at the menu card placed on the table.

I felt hungry today so I order pork stew noodles.

"So Amy what do you think about the partnership with Rex company", Felix asked

"Sir I said earlier too and I'll say it again, I think we will earn a lot more profit", I said.

"Good, well tell about your personal life?"

"About that sir, I won't say much but I'm an orphan, and I live with my sister Mia"

"Oh"

"Miss amy you are an orphan right?", I choked on my sprite. I knew he could sense it but I tried my best to block my scent and demeanor.

" Uh...umm...", I could form any sentence.

"Well there wasn't any mention of your parents in the resume", he said and smirked.

" uh umm...I wanted to keep it a secret"

"Don't worry miss, I'm a man of my words I would never do something to invade your privacy"

His words made me feel comfortable and I feel like I can trust him.

We spent the whole lunch chatting about different topics and to be honest I liked his company.

The food was extremely delicious as well, the blend of spices and freshness of the materials used was amazing.

I never thought once in my life that Felix would show me this side of him ever.

"So let's go, Miss Amy, we will get late for the next meeting, hurry up", he said while fixing his watch.

"Yes sir let's go, the meeting is in 30 minutes", I said and took my purse to leave.

We got to the counter to pay the bill. I took out my card to pay but he was swift to pay.

"Miss Amy, I brought you to this place so it's mine treat"

"Oh okay sir"

I said and followed him outside to the car. We got in and the driver drove us back to the office.

We were back at the office and as usual, he got race car tires instead of his feet do he was pacing again swiftly to the office.

"Damn, can this cheetah walk a bit slow? I mean these heels are so uncomfortable to walk with, and then again he makes me run", I thought.

We reached the office and I placed all the things he need on his table.

I know already that how important this meeting is for him.

And this has so to go perfect. I know he likes things to be perfect. I know I'm not but I'm trying my best, I changed my ways for him as a secretary.

The meeting started soon, and after few hours they came out.

I went into his office and saw him signing some papers.

"Miss Amy we got the deal, so the work is gonna be tough, please address the employees about it", he said it all without glancing at me.

"Oh okay sir"

He's confusing, he is so cold and yet sometimes turns into a softball. Well, can't trust men.

I finished the work at the office and came back home early as today was a special day. It's Saturday and today there's a party at Ivy's home.
