EDGE He was tall, dark, and handsome. He exuded power. Exactly what the doctor ordered. His black hair fell messily around his face, his dark brown eyes glittered as he smirked. There was something about him, but I couldn’t put my finger on what it was. He took my hand, bending over to softly kiss my knuckles. “Call me Blade,” he whispered. Blade? Well he’s hiding his real name. Looks like I’m going to use my code name as well. “Edge,” I replied, giving him a small smile. “That’s not your name,” he responded, face amused. “Just like Blade isn’t yours.” He chuckled. “Touché.” We clinked glasses, giving each other a smile that just showed amusement. We were both hiding something, but that was okay. As long as he didn’t turn out to be a mass murderer or something, anyway. “What do you do when you’re not here, Edge?” His voice was suspicious. He was uneasy with not knowing my actual name. Unfortunately for him, if he wasn’t going to tell me his, I wasn’t going to be telling him mine. Fortunately for me, though, I’d had to answer this question time and time again. Perhaps unsurprisingly, referring to yourself with a name like Edge sparks curiosity. “I oversee security. Most of the time though, you’ll find me on my bike.” Explaining a codename as a ‘road name’ was an easy get out of jail. “So Edge… is like your road name?” “Something like that,” I gave him a small smile. “What about you, Blade?” “Security too, would you believe? What are the chances of that?” Jeez I hoped he wasn’t actually sugarcoating the truth. He had better not be in the same industry as me, not when I was sitting here planning to jump his bones. “Maybe we’ll get to work together sometime,” I smirked, c******g my glass against his again. “For now though, dance with me?” I stood, holding one hand out to him. He took my hand, letting me lead him out onto the dance floor. We wove through the crowds until we found a nice, empty space. I turned around to face him as I started to move, still holding his hand in mine. Blade’s eyes watched every dip and movement of my body intently like he was committing every single inch to memory. I tiptoed, running one hand through his hair, leaning in to whisper in his ear. “Dance with me, Blade.” He smirked, spinning me around so my back was against his chest, his hands sliding down my waist towards my hips. He kept his hands there whilst I danced in front of him, my hips swaying to the music. I could feel him starting to get a little excited behind me, but before I could get too into the feel of him pressed against my back, I remembered the gun. Couldn’t have him grinding against a concealed weapon now, can I. Something tells me he’d notice that one. I turned in his arms, my hands over his, keeping them on my hips, not risking them ending up on my lower back. His breath caught in his throat when I leaned back, tugging my bottom lip with my teeth. I caught his hands again, bringing them back up my waist, around to my ribs, and up and over my chest. Once his hands were right where I wanted them, I wrapped my arms around his neck, crashing my mouth into his. He let out a low growl, almost wolflike, before kissing me back with equal fervour. Blade’s tongue ran along the join in between my lips, teasing them open, before thrusting his tongue in my mouth as soon as I gave him the opening to. I whimpered as he deepened the kiss, taking what he wanted and giving back so much more. I broke the kiss to catch my breath, giving him a small smile. “Shall we get out of here?” He nodded, slapping my backside as I turned towards the door. He smirked at my response when I jumped, not expecting it. I fired off a quick text whilst I walked. Edge: Going home with someone. See you tomorrow. Point Blank: Don’t do anything I wouldn’t, boss. Point Blank: So do absolutely anything and everything. I scowled at him, shaking my head, before taking his hand again and leading him towards the entrance. I’d seen Edith smirking at me across the hall, and had already let her know where I was off to. His house was closer, and we were there in no time at all. He never let go of my hand. As soon as the door closed behind me, he was pressing me against the door, his hands running over my body, his mouth crashing into mine.
