BLADE The following morning, my phone ringing dragged me out of my just-f****d bliss. Edge groaned, rubbing her eyes and scowling in my direction. Jeremy. Of all people, it was Jeremy. “Jeremy. There had better be a good reason for this call.” “Yes, Blade,” he stammered. I met Edge’s gaze, her face stony. “What’s happening?” “Meet me at the restaurant,” and then he hung up. “Well then, mate. Shall we go find out what mess our dear friend Jeremy has gotten himself into now?” Edge grumbled under her breath as she rolled out of bed, looking around for her clothes. “We’ll take my bike,” she said whilst fighting with her jeans. “Quicker. We can filter through traffic.” I nodded. “I’ve let Bite know where we’re off to. I’ve asked him to let Point Blank know too.” She nodded her thanks
