BLADE The sun was rising by the time we got to the safehouse. Edge insisted on us going by foot for the last couple miles. Harder to trace, she said. Normally I’d agree, but I felt just a little hungover. I may have overdone it on the blood front. Edge’s safehouse sat on the top of a cliff looking out over the sea. At first, I thought it was a huge mansion. But in fact, the mansion itself was owned and lived in by a group of very rich humans. The safehouse was underground.
