He kept the curtains pulled and flopped around the house in shirt and boxers all day. Dane knew Sean would miss him at class but he didn’t care; he knew Mark would miss him around school but he wasn’t going to look at those texts. He made himself coffee, downloaded a free app, and f****d around with it all morning. When he finally went downstairs, the house felt oddly empty.
“Just you and me, snake,” he said to Chip. He suspected they were silently cussing him out, but he couldn’t hear them, so he smiled grimly and went to the kitchen for food.
