The flowers didn't go over as well as Sean hoped. Isaac took the bundle of sunflowers with a quiet thanks and tossed them on the table. He'd always made sure to put flowers in water, before, and had been careful with the delicate petals. Sean shared a look with Beck, who sat on the couch looking as disappointed as Sean felt. They'd been Beck's idea. “Isaac lives for that cheesy romance junk. Flowers, chocolates, dumb stuffed bears…he melts over that stuff," Beck had said after they'd called a truce. Sean remembered how Isaac reacted to the flowers he used to bring to the bookstore all the time.
