It quickly became evident what was happening on the dance floor, and the couples that accompanied us, despite their initial enthusiasm, began to retreat to make room for the sibling duel they were witnessing. The other party guests also joined in, including the members of the chess and math club, and Anthony’s newly arrived buddies, who had in turn invited more jerks like themselves.
As I had predicted, it was a battle between the nerds, represented by Spencer and me, and the bullies, represented by Tiffany and Anthony.
