Anthony's POV
I didn't think twice. When I saw Mariam fall, I dove right after her.
I saw her plunge into the strong current of the river, which was swollen and roaring with force. I submerged myself and began searching for her amid the strong waves that battered me, but I couldn’t see her. Apollo, just as frantic as I was, tried to contact Mariam's wolf, but couldn’t find her.
"The current has pushed them too hard," Apollo said. "I fear I can't even sense them anymore."
My heart pounded violently in my chest.
If something happened to Mariam… I didn’t even want to think about it, but…
I would kill them all!
Starting with that damn Beta who followed us and dragged Mariam down with him when he should have accepted that we had beaten him.
